I was watching the news this morning when they brought up this poll. Chris Burrous was asking for calls about this, and naturally everyone was calling up and saying that it wasn't right for Rush to question soldiers.

Then someone called in and told him he got the story wrong and set him straight. Burrous says that the caller is wrong that he wasn't talking about the one soldier, because he said "soldiers"! Before he got a chance to explain that "soldiers" was referring to "the phony soldier" and other "soldiers" like him, Burrous says he disagrees and hangs up on him!

I wanted to call up, but I had to go to work so I don't know if anyone else has set him straight since that caller.

That's exactly how they get the lies started and they keep on rolling along. They report this as fact and all the viewers that don't look past their liberal newcasts now believe that's what he said.

If they get enough heat to be forced to retract what they said, they'll take 10 seconds to say, "Oh by the way... We messed up on that story"! After spending an hour yapping about it, taking calls, and making a poll, they'll spend 10 seconds to correct it and 10 people might catch it!
