Poll: Voters Want Spitzer to Testify on Scandal
The New York Times ^ | 10/2/07 | Sewell Chan

An overwhelming majority of New York State voters believe that Gov. Eliot Spitzer should testify under oath about what he knew of the so-called Troopergate scandal, according to a new Quinnipiac University poll released today.

The poll found that 78 percent of voters called for the governor to testify under oath, slightly higher than the 70 percent who said that the governor should testify under oath in a Siena Research Institute poll released last month.

The new poll also found that 56 percent of voters believed that the governor knew what his aides were doing when they arranged for State Police records of State Senate Majority Leader Joseph L. Bruno’s travels to be released to the news media.

I wonder how these numbers would change now that this strange looking megalomaniac has decided to give illegal aliens all the privileges that a drivers licenses provides.

Spitzer is another Klinton in the making: trooper baggage and presidential ambitions. He just needs a few mistresses and he’ll be the new Democretin Party hero.

Pataki was an angel when you put him next to this clown. I might have not agreed with Pataki on everything... but I miss him like hell when I see what the current governor is doing.

The NY State is in big trouble. Taxes are high, living is expensive, and we are loosing our upstate population at a rapid rate. I will be relocating once I finish up my degree this spring.

I was born and raised in NY... and it breaks my heart to see all of this nonsense going on.

Not going to happen. Clinton is obviously in to fat young girls.
Spitzer is in to preteen boys.

Slightly ??? ... When a previous poll is in the stratosphere of 70%, with only 20% remaining before hitting 100%, an additional 8% is a bit more than mere slightly.

The voters may want testimony under oath and the truth, but the breath-takingly corrupt NY democrat party machine is in full cover-up mode.

Their problem, if they don’t already know, is that Spitzer is a mentally unstable lunatic, a major Trouble Magnet. The democrats will sooner or later be unable to whitewash Spitzer’s rage-aholic paranoid misbehaviors.

NY Governor Wants Illegals to Get Driver Licenses

The revelation that the 9/11 hijackers had accumulated 35 driver licenses from states with lax requirements led Republican Governor George Pataki to issue an executive order in 2002 requiring driver’s license applicants to submit Social Security numbers, to prove that they were legal residents, or provide proof that they were ineligible for a Social Security card.

Under Democratic Governor Eliot Spitzer’s new policy, foreign passports and birth certificates will be enough to obtain a New York driver’s license. Spencer claims this will make the state’s roads safer.

“Look, people have to drive,” Spitzer explained. “It’s better that they get licenses than drive without them. It’ll be safer, at least that way they’ll have to pass a test.”

Spitzer pointed out that while they are getting their licenses, these “undocumented workers” could also register to vote. “These hard-working Latinos are currently underrepresented in our government,” Spitzer said. “They pay taxes. They have needs. They should be brought into the system instead of being forced to live in the shadows.”

Why don’t they just skip the technicalities and put him behind bars now?

Does anyone have or know of a timeline on this scandal, for non-New Yorkers? I feel for you guys (well except the Yankee fans, but hey).
