We both know the textbook definition of “bipartisanship” — that’s the Stupid Party (formally the GOP) getting together with the Evil Party (aka the Democrats) to do something that is both stupid and evil.

The Fairness Doctrine is about more than censorship.

It's really about stealing the conservative radio audience and giving it to failed liberal commentators.

Think of the Fairness Doctrine as the Kelo decision for radio. Liberals can't run a competitive radio station because listeners will not tune in over time for their message, nor can their message stand the test of real-time scrutiny by informed listeners. Their only alternative is to take by "eminent domain" the radio audience built up over time by conservative broadcasters. That's why they're trying to force their way onto conservative outlets, and not just running shows like Imus on 77 ABC, but onto every individual show, in order to shove their message onto an audience that they were incapable of building up on their own.
