It’s proof that a Pro-Life third party would be idiotic, not proof that Rudy can’t win.

“It’s proof that a Pro-Life third party would be idiotic, not proof that Rudy can’t win.”

What an assinine statement. There are a great many of us “moral” conservatives that absolutely will not vote for Rudy the Rumpranger in a general election...even against Senator Clinton....We just don’t see the significant difference.

Bottom line....AND GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD....a vote for Guiliani is a vote for the destruction of the Republican party. The “moral voters” (the party’s base) will not vote for Rudolph...EVER. With the base of the party ready to stay home or vote third party if Rudy is the republican candidate.....he has NO chance of winning in a general election. If one wants to maintain the coalition that is the Republican Party, then Guiliani must go.

Do that math. 46 is still greater than 44.

You, said, "It’s proof that a Pro-Life third party would be idiotic, not proof that Rudy can’t win."

I agree with you. A third party is a waste of money, and a spoiler for the Republican party."

Anyway there is no such thing as a perfect candidate.... I wish Dr. Dobson and other religious conservatives would come to their senses....If not, they'll only help get Hillary elected. And that would certainly be worse than if either Guliani or Thompson is elected.

So because of the purists,we get a generation of real socialist pacifist Dems running the Congress, the Executive, and far worse, SCOTUS. All because, we just cannot live with our guy being left of center who has told the world, he wants to support Scalia and Thomas like jurists who in the long run have the only power to deal with abortion. OK, so lose. Lose for a generation and wonder why the nation goes even more secular, more Third World than if we had a Rudy, Mitt vis a vis a Clintonista Presidency for 8 years. Cutting off our noses to be HOLY? And doing this will not help cut abortions , it will indeed solidify the abortion Dem caucus for a generation or more. Hillary will make mincemeat out of Fred or whoever the Lamb to slaugter we finally send up. And worse, the Congress will be even more liberal Dem. What political geniuses !

Yep like the "stay at home and teach the Republicans a lesson" from the '06 elections that put 'Rats in control of Congress.

They don't think.

“It’s proof that a Pro-Life third party would be idiotic, not proof that Rudy can’t win.”

What it actually proves is:

1.Rudy EQUALS Hillary. With either of them in the White House, the country will not be headed in a conservative direction.

2. The Republican Party is only playing social-issues tag with the Democratic Party — trying to get in line with the Democratic Party. So the traditional segment of the GOP is begging to see if there is any more a difference worth fighting about.

3. A huge segment of the Republican Party is now ONLY fiscally conservative. And another segment is fiscally Libertarian. Yet a third segment is outright globalist.

4. Rudy should not be the candidate, nor should he have gotten this far.
