WASHINGTON, D.C.—Acting on behalf of its more than 1.4 million members, the executive council of the American Federation of Teachers today endorsed Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination for president, citing her proven ability to advance our nation’s key priorities, and her bold plans for a stronger America.
“Our members have told us that they want a leader they can trust to strengthen public education, increase access to healthcare, promote commonsense economic priorities and secure America’s place in the world,” said AFT President Edward J. McElroy. “Hillary Clinton is that leader.”
Clinton thanked the AFT executive council for the union’s endorsement and said that, as president, she will be “committed to improving and strengthening our public schools, providing support for teachers, and ensuring our education system is able to meet the needs of the global economy and that we have commonsense laws that make that possible.”

Phony Teachers? (after all, the union is supposedly speaking for all it’s members.)
Teacher unions have no responsibility or agenda for the education of our children. Their sole responsibility is to represent its members. Any rhetoric about their concern for the education of children is simple untrue. If they say that Hillary has a proven record, that’s true. That record is solely for the advancement of the union’s causes which has little to do about education.

Not surprised at all. My wife’s a teacher and it’s because of their overt liberal agenda that she’s chosen to not be part of the union.
Their leadership is marxist. They like to pollute the classrooms of their young charges with homosexual propaganda.
They hate America; Hillary hates America so much that she wants to move her fat backside into the oval orifice and finish this country off.

the union must be impressed by Clinton’s performance with the schools in Arkansas...absolute proof the union could care less about actual academic performance.

Another union attempting to make folks think all members support their choice. My union does the same but... I don’t follow. So, in my opinion, meaningless endorsement.
