Rush is only the excuse they are using - he's the punching bag to silence us all. It's all about shutting down conservative talk radio - they couldn't get their communist 'Fairness Doctrine' through, but they are bound and determined to shut down our voices.
We are too complacent - we tut tut about it - but in the belief that this is still a country of sanity and, individual rights and freedom of speech, we naively think this isn't much more than posturing.
It is MUCH MORE. If we do not make a big noise NOW - FREEP the media - and let them know we know they're lying through their teeth, that it's a thinly disguised tactic to shut up the Conservative voices and demand the media point out the hypocrisy by playing the clips on Murtha, Kerry and Chucky REALLY denigrating our troops = with total silence from the Socialists...

We wont' be just defending Rush - we will be defending our freedom of speech, and if we let them get away with this, all other freedoms will fall like dominoes...We have to do more than sit here and post feel good repartee

You must have missed the shows (weeks?) when he dealt with immigration amnesty and the medicare expansion. I think Rush also finds the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) objectionable. He has taken Republicans in Congress to task on countless occasions. I think he finds Bush to be a decent man with sometimes decent instincts. I would not call him anything close to "in the pockets of" Republicans in any public venue.
I think he will support Republicans as the only game in town on some occasions. Who knows? Maybe he's right about that. I have a hard time supporting people who talk a good game while having a history of RINOism. I guess I prefer people in races who actually have core beliefs that I can support.
I think Rush is one of the good guys who, post Reagan, makes conservatism both respectable and fun. I think he is also the best of the best in shedding the light of day on issues that never get a fair hearing in traditional news outlets.
For any Republican Legislator that has the nerve, how about introducing into the Congressional Record the transcript of Rush’s broadcast.
If this were done, it would clear up the Democratic legislator’s distortions of the facts (and hopefully saving them the embarrassment of spewing nonsense, due to their being ill informed, or not wanting to be informed).
If you would like a fresh air sight go to M-F 10-12am. WTIC1080 Jim Vicevich show. Lots of good country/country rock music and good conservative talk and defense of the troops. It is in Connecticut however you could stream.You have been around these parts along time I understand you are tired but check it out.
