Here is a blog review of “An Inconvenient Truth” that rips its (non)credibility to shreds:

Me: He's a man of peace, just ask Israel

You: I don’t get your “just ask Israel”

It was sarcasm

From this paper :

“In a situation currently marked by threats of the use of power, Carter has stood by principles that conflicts must as far as possible be resolved through mediation and international co-operation based on international law, respect for human rights, and economic development.”

The announcement which the Norwegian Nobel Committee usually makes in October explains the basis of its choice for the award, and it is the only document about the reasons for its decision which the Committee as a whole approves for publication. It was rumored that this time the Committee had worked hard to reach agreement. The final paragraph of the statement referred to a long held position of Jimmy Carter, but the phrase “in a situation currently marked by threats of the use of power” could be welcomed by critics of the Iraq policy of President Bush, who was at that time getting Congressional support for the use of force, if necessary.

I found the article I vaguely remembered about this subject, here. The committee chairman did make the "kick in the leg" comment, and seemed to state that it was a consensus opinion, but of course, no official document would say that.

Given the clear bias and politicization of the Carter Nobel, you can rest assured that Rush will not be considered at all.

Could be a lock-in for Gore, though, and a perfect time for him to announce he’s running in ‘08.

I’ve fantasized on other threads, Gore-Kerry (based on JFK’s statements). What could be more compelling than an opportunity to undo the terrible injustice of the last two stolen elections, and be able to save the planet as well, with one vote!

Throw Hillary! in there, and you could have the first American triumvirate, and undo the injustice of Bill’s impeachment!
