We will ask for a Social Security number when we provide a quote so that we can give the most accurate rate possible,..
Maybe it is just too early right now, maybe i have not had enough coffee, maybe I am just a dim bulb....but I cannot for the life of me figure out what in the hell a SSN has to do with getting a accurate rate quote. If it has something to do with determining age, I am sure they ask you for your age up front. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I think the insurance company uses the SS # to run a credit check on prospective customers. The better your credit rating, the lower your rate will be.
