Someone should leak what happened to the “24” writers...they need fresh material for the new season or else that show is history.

Thankfully WABC Radio is bringing back the John Batchelor Show soon...he was great in getting to the bottom of stories like this.

One thing that continually pisses me off in all the commentaries on WMDs and especially nukes is that just about all of the pundits seem to assume we have a really tight grasp on Iran’s timeline and progress, on what Syria does and does not have, etc. Yet, the history of nuclear programs in Pakistan, India, Iraq (pre-1991), etc. shows that all or nearly all of the “experts” were much too complacent in their beliefs about what was known, what could be expected in the next 6-12 months, etc. The CIA was frequently complacent in assuming that there could not be any major developments we were not aware of, until something like an N-bomb test (or Iraq getting within 12 months, perhaps, of building its first bomb) would smack us in the face and say that we cannot be so confident in what we do and don’t know. Still, we have so many people who seem soooo confident that Iran is still at least a couple of years away from nukes.... I am not so confident, or at least I am not confident that we really know enough about what is going on.

seems strangely defensive of the terrorists and doesn't seem to like Israel much

Wow - you are so clever - you nailed it...

Blast (ha, literally) from the past:

It was Saddam’s WMDs, as it turns out.
