Isn’t that precisely what he did anyway?

“We thought Roger Mudd would succeed Cronkite and were disappointed.”
Yes, and I think Roger Mudd would have brought more honesty to CBS news! But then, who knows.

PRESIDENT MISTAKENLY SHARED CLASSIFIED INFO WITH NEWS ANCHORS... Ha! What a dope. Real presidents like Clinton share classified info deliberately.
Yes...and a real President, like Clinton, managed to make money off of the Chinese when he "shared" classified info!

He's the neighbor who seems uncomfortable talking with you, No, he's the neighbor I feel uncomfortable talking to.

Mudd always seemed reasonable, which may explain why he didnt get the gig. No, it was because people believed his great-grandfather treated John Wilkes Booth's ankle.

Rather vowed to leak to the NYT?
Is this because the National Enquirer and the Weekly World News found the documents to be fakes and the sources unreliable?
Only the NYT publishes fake stories.

Rather did a number of drugs “in the name of journalistic research”. He claims that he got things like heroin for his research from the Houston police department.

If I recall, the AP ran with the same story the same week and did just as much denial of any controvesy but it has been forgotten as Rather has been vocal about “fake but accurate”.

“Little yellow bellied coward.”
- The only thing we have to thank Rather for happened in 1995 when he asked for, and got, Connie Chung’s scalp over her attempt to supplant him as the anchor on the Oklahoma City bombing story. Before then, it looked like the sneaky little rat was in line to take over the evening news and after that she never worked long anywhere else.

Rather could turn up being a child molester and it wouldn’t shock me. His treasonous ways and odd behavior is just the tip of an Algore iceberg

He's the neighbor who seems uncomfortable talking with you, like he'd rather be getting online and looking up the doings of the Trilateral Commission...I always felt like he was the neighbor who'd rather be getting online looking up pics of guys in women's clothing.
