KINSHASA, Congo (AP) -- "Rebels have seized an area in eastern Congo that serves as a wildlife habitat for endangered mountain gorillas, threatening one of the last known populations of the animals, conservationists said Sunday."
"Four months ago, the dead body of a female gorilla was found. Conservationists say she was killed execution style."

Oh, the inhumanity of it! Surely now the Democrats will issue an authorization for the U.S. military (along with embedded reporters from PETA) to search and destroy those invaders. No funding is too great, no war too long. May God bless American in our efforts to save the Gorillas.

Appparently you are not familar with that certain literary device know as sarcasm. You might return to school and take some literature courses - think Jonathon Swift.
Hint to conservationists:They already do in many places. It's quite crazy and bizarre. A lot of the funding for anti poaching paramilitaries comes from hippy conservation groups.
If something is so important to you, raise the money, buy the land. Then raise the money, and buy the army to defend it.

If I recall, Kinshasa is also a nexus for the Ebola Zaire virus. So these poachers may be stirring up something a lot more sinister than gorilla-lovers.

Who, the gorilla-lovers or the gorillas? I guess it's academic; I don't give a tin crap about either of them. If we eradicate their species, then maybe we can plant begonias where they used to dwell. And their skulls make nice soup tureens.

Guerillas vs gorillas...maybe she was a conservative gorilla (you know, an evil while male Republican at heart, or a GINO), hence a legitimate target of the socialist revolution? This could have world historical consequences!
I think she was probably killed by a 'conservationist' after she threatened to spill the beans to his wife. Just another crime of passion.
