Behind the scenes, sure. As VP candidate? No way.
He lost an election he should have walked, even with the way other Republicans were losing theirs. If he goes up against the Dems Warner, he would probably lose again.
No probs with him being in Thompson’s campaign, but as a VP candidate he’s too big of a target.
1. Its not an accident her father, VP Cheney, wiped the floor with his opponents in two consecutive presidential election cycles. His daughter is a smart political operative in her own right.
2. George Allen’s inability to handle that mess in 48 hours, which in turn cost him his job, doesn’t lend itself to considering him for a VP nod in my view.
He just wasn’t ‘all that’.
That’s one way to do it. The other way would be for people posting material to use the exact title.
A little off-topic, but you reminded me about how great the man is:
In what way is Fred Thompson better than Dick Cheney?
‘In what way is Fred Thompson better than Dick Cheney?’
Ummmm, I didn’t claim anything close to this, CWCT. I never even considered it till you posted it too me.
Sorry, you are just the one that put it in my mind, I didn’t mean to imply you had said anything about it.
The question was to the group as a whole.
