Russia’s a hard place to govern. I just wish he wouldn’t deal with the Iranians and their ilk. If only we could cut some kind of deal with the man.

one should study the history and pay special attention to maps. just look at all the problems that we have with two border nations and a relatively new (and revolutionary) history.

i make no apologies for Russia.

I wonder if his 'dealings' with Iran = and Syria are what they seem on the surface.

He sold Syria hundreds of millions of dollars worth of worthless technology = the detection system that didn't detect. I wonder if he didn't know we had a system that would override it? And he is playing an elaborate chess game, secretly with us, against the muzzies. Russia has just as much reason to want to stop the muzzies as we do - besides Chechnya, there's Beslan. They will never forget Beslan -

the article points to Putin's KGB training - could be just what's in play...against the muzzies.
