ACCORDING TO ROBERT FELIX, 90% of the world's glaciers are growing. He is convinced we are heading to an ice age. On CoasttoCoastAM with fruitcake George Noury, he says that more scientists are beginning to agree with him.

The next ice age could begin any day.

Next week, next month, next year, it's not a question of if, only when. One day you'll wake up -- or you won't wake up, rather -- buried beneath nine stories of snow. It's all part of a dependable, predictable cycle, a natural cycle that returns like clockwork every 11,500 years.

. . . And since the last ice age ended almost exactly 11,500 years ago . . .

Welcome. You've reached Robert Felix's home page. Here's some information about my book.

Beginning with the dinosaur extinction of 65 million years ago, Not by Fire but by Ice explores the relationship between mass extinctions, ice ages, and magnetic reversals (times when compasses would have pointed south instead of north).

"Fiery birth of a new Pacific island!"

Thus read the announcement from the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Organization (CSIRO), which had sent researchers to the Soloman Islands to study a "dormant" underwater volcano.

Instead, it was very much alive. The scientists watched in amazement as lava, ash, and plumes of steam and smoke rose high above the ocean's surface.

They were witnessing the birth of the Island Kavachi.

He thinks magnetic reversal may have something to do with more volcanic activity. He thinks that underwater volcanoes are heating the oceans. What is being poured into the oceans is 2150 degrees.

On CoasttoCoast he is claiming that big ice ages occur every 105,000 years, and they have to do with the magnetic shift. We are due for an ice age.

That last bit on the far left is the last 10K years after the last ice age ended. Pretty long lasting warm period if the ice core data is accurate. Look how short the warm peaks lasted in the past. Reminds me of a regular heartbeat and were well over due for a plunge.

We are in a natural planetary cycle, people have no say in the upcoming events, we can only experience them.

Yep. If you look at the trends shown in ice core data it appears that we are headed for another ice age, although certainly not in my lifetime. These cycles have been going on EONS before humans ever walked the planet. No one fully understands them because they are so complex. For the same reason climate models don't begin to tell the whole picture. Thus, meteorologists and climatologists cannot begin to accurately predict the future, despite how much some of them want you to think they can.

There really isn't really anything humans can do to stop or alter these cycles. So, those species that adapt will survive. Those that don't, won't.

I don’t buy into gradualist models for massive glaciation...

neither do I! I meant in the context of the links he provides:

for example -

MAGMA MAY BE MELTING GREENLAND

Massive glaciation=catastrophe.

imo periodic short term cooling is what he's talking about, but that's half as catchy as ICE AGE NOW.
