“Ann said everyone should be a Christian .... I agree.”
OBL says everyone should be a Muslim. I think people should choose what’s best for them, but that’s me.

Why does she always have to talk sh&t every now and then? Some epokesperson for conservatism she is.
To: america4vr
I'd always given Ms. Coulter a wide berth on her views despite some of the bizarre things she'd espouse. Not anymore.
There's nothing wrong with what she said. Not from a Christian point of view. As a Christian, I agree with her. I want to see all people come to know Christ as their savior.
Am I a bigot for saying that? Anti-semitic? Nope.
As a Christian, I am called upon and strive to love all people (and I sin miserably here) and part of that love is wanting to see them redeemed in Christ.

This was posted after seeing the story on 'Editor and Publisher' which despite its liberal credentials deserves as much credibility here at Free Republic as, say, does the NYT.
As far as making you weep, it doesn't seem much to make you cry.

What’s wrong with some of you?
This was another MEDIA MATTERS attempt to smear a conservative.
NOTHING more.
Some of you are falling for it, hook, line and sinker. No questions asked.
THINK, people, THINK
To: Abathar
Not about what she said, but the fact she would lower herself to be on that idiot Donny Deutsch's show.I have to agree. Donny's show is the Trap Stamp of television.

Actually if you really think about the whole thing from a philosophical point of view, there is nothing wrong with what she said.
Hey, I am not a Roman Catholic, but former teacher ( a priest ) tells me that he prays for me a lot so that I would someday join the "true" church of Christ ( which implies that I am going to a church that isn't considered part of Christ's church )... am I offended ? Not one bit.
He sincerely believes that and for that, I respect him, even when I vehemently disagree with him. He is after my welfare, albeit in his on (IMHO wrong) way.
As long as there is no coercion and threat, simply the desire to convince and to see me convert, I am tolerant of it. Such beliefs have existed since the founding of this country and tolerance does not mean you have to agree with what a person believes ( as long as you are not threatened with anything ).
So, to those who are offended, I'd say their concept of the notion of "truth" needs some re-thinking.

Is Andrew Stein jewish ? Is Ann Coulter nuts ?

I completely agree. If you truly believe as a Christian then what she said isn't an insult at all.
Do people really think that missionaries aren't trying to do exactly what Ann just wished for?

She says outrageous things because it sells her books. Every time she says something like that it buys her a new house or a new Porsche.
Don Imus said something outrageous, and came away with $20,000,000, a 6 month vacation and a better place on the AM dial.

Seeing the two sources, Media Matters and editorandpublisher.com tells me to reserve judgement until I can see and hear for myself.
Two weeks after the failed hit on Rush Limbaugh, and you would trust Media Matters?

If you profess to be a Christian, you should be agreeing with Ann.
Christianity is the FULFILMENT of the Old Law (Law of Moses, aka Judaism). Christ came to do away with the old law. Read the book of Hebrews.
Coulter is right, from a RELIGIOUS perspective.
Media Matters is trying to make this a RACIAL/ETHNIC thing. Donny Duetch is clueless on this, hence his reaction.

Gosh Ann usually has a new book out in order to get this sort of negative attention.
Oh wait, she does.

So what’s the big deal? Naturally, Christians think the world would be a better place if everyone was Christian. Isn’t that the Great Commision? To evangelize the world. I am sure Jews think the world would be a better place if everyone was Jewish, etc etc

If she talks sh&t every now and then, this occasion isn't one of those times if you really think about it.

Over the cliff like lemmings still yet.
To: texas_mrs
Yeah. I don’t understand why so many seem willing to take her statements, filtered through media matters, at face value, factual and not out of context. They’ve been trying to implement their own “final solution” to the conservative problem, lately.

Why don’t you trying to confirm from a creditable source before condemning on a report from a well know discredited source.
Or has rather-gate and slander of Rush of late taught us nothing

you didn’t even READ what you posted. Editor and Publisher USED THE MEDIA MATTERS PROVIDED TRANSCRIPT.
You missed that part.
You’re being used by the liberal media to smear a conservative.
Unless you’re one OF them.

As you say:
If a Mormon prays for me to become a Mormon, how does that hurt me in any way?
The problem comes when someone clamps a hood on you and threatens to off your melon if you don’t convert.
