Gleen Beck had Pastor John Hagee on his show last night. They discussed the end times. I think this was one of the best interviews I have seen in a long time. It was very interesting. Did anyone see it? Here is the transscript

I am not a Biblical scholar, however having heard many great analysis about Revelations from folks such as Pastor Hagee and Dr. David Jeremiah, I believe the evidence for the rapture to inferential at best. Thus, I am neither pre nor post. Rather I believe Christians will have to tough it out with everyone else. Do you know of verses supporting the rapture of the church?

Just as Rome fell, so is the U.S. in the process of following Rome - not much speculation needed to SEE THAT HAPPENING.

I agree.

Not everyone sees it yet. There is a NYT article titled something like "Living in the Second Gilded Age".

There is also a Barron's article which basically says a stock market crash can't happen again (from someone else's reading).

LOOK OUT!

I agree with most of Reverend Hagee’s literal-historical approach to eschatology. However Hagee has one huge problem. He believes that those who are Jewish and do not accept Christ as their Savior are still saved. This is why he is such good friends with powerful Jewish believers. I love the Jewish people and strongly support Israel but the scriptures are clear that the only way to God is thru the Son.

I can concur with you. I think it is a good to to be prepared and stay that way, because He comes like a thief in the night.

I was brought up where I was made to attend a church like that when I was young and now I detest that way of preaching and will not put up with it, now that I don’t have to. That kind of preaching is spewing fear. As an adult I met a pastor that was calm and quiet and preached that grace and love of the Lord. We became fast friends up until his death back in the mid seventies.

I don’t want some feller ticklin’ my ear. I want someone who will make me uncomfortable in my sin.

Matthew 24:40 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

Those laid back soft spoken preachers who put their congregation to sleep, you can have them.

I'll take the shout it from the rafters, raising hands to God in glory, shouting out his name.

Spewing fear? Preaching the Gospel so all can hear his word, even those in the back pews.

Not sure that the feel-good stuff, exclusively, is the most valuable kind of ministry. Certainly has its place at times.

I can concur with you. I think it is a good to to be prepared and stay that way, because He comes like a thief in the night.

However given Yah'shua's pattern in the past,

many believe it will on Shavuot ( Pentecost ) for many reasons
not the least of which is was the L-rd's required holy feast where
the Ru'ach HaKodesh came begin the Ekklesia for the New Covenant.

Ellaboration:

39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

43But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49And shall begin to smite his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

It’s not up to a pastor to hurt your ears trying to cram his message down your throat. It’s up to the very quiet Holy Spirit to grab your heart and mind.
