Is it time for a Non-American president? (vanity)

In sports, as in business, we often seek the best possible man/woman for the job.

The person that will lead us on to victory.

Is it time we choose this route when electing our leaders?

Of course, historically, Napoleon and Hitler are examples of why we shouldn't.

Nevertheless a President/prime minister who has the best interests of a country at heart shouldn't be discounted.

Or should it?

Racist profiling. Why, it’s unconstitutional!

"I would be presuming that the Non American president would LOVE America; not hate it."

Why would you be making that presumption? We already have about 50% of the native born adult population, not to mention the kids, who have been through the public school indoctrination, who hate it? Why would you presume any foreign-born President wouldn't hate it and want to destroy it too? (To improve it, of course. /s)

While there are some similarities in the functions of a US President and a CEO of a big corporation, they're not identical. A country involves many other dimensions that do not exist in corporation.

The worst example, I think, is Alberto Fujimori of Peru. When they tried to send him to jail, he bailed out and fled to Japan and claimed his Japanese citizenship (even though he was born Peruvian).

How is lebaran (Eid) in Jakarta? BTW, Indonesia also has a similar clause in their constitution: only 'genuine' Indonesian can be a president.

Is it time for a Non-American president?

We've already had a few of those. They were born here, but they sure didn't have America's interest at heart...ANO's.....Americans in Name Only.

we often seek the best possible man/woman for the job.

as the father of 2 teenaged daughters, married to s Southern belle and son of Scarlett herself.

I would not vote for a woman if you put a gun to my head. I love women. They are delicious. I adire them...worship them actually. They birth "real men" but as president at that level of governance and authority?

No thanks. You can call me whatever you want.

150 million people to choose from and you think we should “offshore” this job?
