AN UNGUARDED MOMENT ...
Nealz Nuze ^ | October 15, 2007 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 10/15/2007 7:13:22 AM PDT by Turret Gunner A20

And a moment in which you can truly see how Democrats view the South .. and how Democrats view people who actually prefer NASCAR to polo or the NBA.

You are ignorant and dirty. Disease ridden, in fact.

Why, even before a Democrat can approach you he has to have his shots! You are just too ignorant to be free to live without the government looking out for you.

What fun it is to watch the Democrats try to bail after this accidental exposure of their true elitism.

Yup .. before our wonderful Democrat staffers go to a NASCAR race they have to get their shots!

Interesting, don't you think, that the Republican staffers of this Homeland Security committee told the Democrats to take their shots and stick them somewhere else?

By the way ... if these Democrats think that their staffers ought to be inoculated before they visit a NASCAR race, what about the rest of the NASCAR fans?

http://boortz.com/more/funny/redneck_pics_racefan.html

If it's so dangerous to visit a NASCAR race, why didn't they warn the fans long before now? Why are these shots good for Democrat staffers, but not good enough for the rednecks who go to the races?

In an e-mail, a staffer who works for committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., noted an "unusual need for whomever attending to be vaccinated against hepatitis A and B," as well as "the more normal things - tetanus, diphtheria, and of course, seasonal influenza."

>>I’m not sure if it was a slight against NASCAR so much as a slight against the South.<<

What I find amazing about this story is that Democrats have been pretty good at getting elected in the South even as the South has become more conservative - they can’t get elected without some understanding of the region - and racing is a part of the region just like Bar-B-Q and football and church and Sunday dinner. Its hard to believe that no Democrat had the political sense to say “this is really offensive and even if we don’t care about being offensive we at least should care about getting elected.”

This was just really, really, stupid on their part.

re # 17

NASCAR, the FANS, Southerners in general, Republicans, Conservatives, Rednecks, working class people, people who drink, smoke and otherwise enjoy the fruits of their labors, people who don't drive hybrids, people who own guns, people who believe in God and Jesus is His Son, people who have money not Monet, People who drink from cans and mason jars not champaign glasses......

The kind of people who make this country tick.

The South has been flooded with Hispanics and Northerners in recent years, making it difficult for conservatives to retain a majority.

If it’s turist season, does that mean we can hunt them?

My Grand Daddy was a live and let live, forgive but not forget Christian and I’m sure his response would be that he didn’t have anything against champaign glasses except they don’t hold enough beer.

More like the poor and the unwashed who go to TASCAR events. Tell them that they should get shots by going to an event with large numbers of black people in attendance and we know where that one goes....

Huntsville, AL — home to very heavy DoD R&D, Redstone Arsenal, Marshall Space Flight Center.

Birmingham, AL — UAB Hospital: leading edge teaching hospital accepts patients from all over the world; cases where the attending and consulting doc’s have given up.
Also a banking and insurance center.

Representative Bennie Thompson is so out of touch with his constituents that he probably believes that the staffers would need the same health requirements that are needed for those traveling to third world countries. If it were not for the massive gerrymandering in Mississippi by the Democrats, Thompson would not be able to be elected.
