Then I stand corrected.

Thanks for pointing out my ignorance in such a nice and pleasant manner. Enjoy your day. By the way, if you’d bother to read the entire thread instead of looking for nuggets to attack you’d see that I meant to say Arnold v Phil. Folks pull the lever for one of the two, throw away their vote as a protest or run home to Mom and not vote. I’ve never been a big fan of throwing away my vote and I don’t abide folks who don’t vote. That translates into voting for Arnold or Phil, your choice. Most folks here claim to have voted for third party candidates or to not having voted. Neither are options for me so I take my poison and vote like an adult. Not having an optimal candidate to vote for in general elections here in CA is not exactly a new phenomenon. Again, have a nice day.

Sorry, I was responding to your insinuation that those of us who didn't jump on the Arnie Express to Socialism were "not too bright" in #52. I respond to comments as I run across them.

It is also worth noting that the CAGOP, breaking with long standing policy, endorsed Arnold for the 2006 race before the race even began, thus shutting out any serious challenge to their golden boy. So, really, Schwarzenegger has never faced a party primary. As Shakespeare said, "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon 'em". In the case of CA Republican voters, we had Arnie thrust upon us by the Riordan/Duff Machine.

Why is a Hobson's choice "your choice"?

Some folks post here only think they are being logical, when they don't know squat to begin with, can't think logically to begin with, and don't bother even to become familiar with the history of FR before they post their opinions and bash others for doing the same.

Maybe such posters should go back and re-take "Shill 101" please, and while they are at it, maybe change their name by adding an "(R)" at the end just so folks can filter them out more conveniently.

I learned something new tonight. I’d never heard of a Hobson’s Choice and had to look it up. Thank you.
