Craig Appeals Minn. Judge's Ruling

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — U.S. Sen. Larry Craig of Idaho appealed to the Minnesota Court of Appeals on Monday in his ongoing attempt to withdraw his guilty plea in connection with an arrest in an airport bathroom sex sting.

Craig's appeal was filed at the court in St. Paul less than two weeks after Hennepin County Judge Charles Porter refused to overturn the guilty plea, saying it "was accurate, voluntary and intelligent, and ... supported by the evidence."

Craig, a Republican, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in August after he was accused of soliciting sex in a bathroom at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in June.

The filthy p'tak has no honor in his entire body. His word can't be relied upon under any circumstances.

Soon, his past will start seeping out of the woodwork - he should have left well enough alone.

This situation reminds me of Gary Hart, just daring the reporters to find anything on him. Buh bye, Mr. Hart.

That he would accept the "award" of being inducted into the Iowa Hall of Fame merely reveals that he is nothing more than a narcissistic, self-absorbed reprobate. He clearly has no integrity - sadly, neither his wife nor any of his family or friends will tell him to go away, to cruise in other halls but not on tax-payer dollars.

The Republican leadership, if we still have any, should daily sound the call for his resignation. If the Republicans do not daily and publicly call for his resignation, then they will deserve their ignominious defeats.

Craig reminds me of Bubba Clintoon, who was also a pathetic scumbag that, with the help of his RATS, kept Clintoon in office as a daily reminder that the voters can’t get rid of him.

Agreed.

We'll see - the GOP leadership has failed this test before (and none too long ago). I'm not that confident that they'll do the right thing now.

More like the fruit cake that keeps getting received at Christmas time.

Arlen Spector who has defended Craig , has also signed on
as one of the Nine Ficticious Republicans who joined with Kennedy to tack Hate Crimes on to the Defense Appropriations. Makes one wonder if Specter is in the closet — of if he is merely a Jew by birth whose religion is Liberalism. At any rate I doubt it would do much good to
remind Mr.Specter that he acts in defiance of what his purported religion taught my own about homosexual behavior —and law.

he is doing damage to the conservative wing of the Senate - and of the nation.

Senate leadership must take decisive action to get rid of him.

I don’t know why he is appealing this ruling. He really is an embarassment not only to the Senate, the country and the Republican Party, but to his family. Is he kidding himself? Or does he just love the limelight? (Albeit negative)

Exactly. He’s basically saying, “I lied before I told the truth.”

What really messes with my mind is that he supposedly had a heart to heart talk with each and every one of his kids denying the whole thing and denying any past incidents of this type of behavior. He is so committed to this storyline that it makes you wonder about his conscience.
