A would-be burglar is dead, after targeting the wrong house early Tuesday morning.

Police said the homeowner confronted and shot the intruder about 4:10 a.m. inside a small garage at the back of his property in the 3600 block of Cortez Drive, a few blocks north of Dallas Love Field.

The unidentified burglar was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

“A nice fresh armed citizen story to go with your morning coffee”.

...Thanks! The only story that would make it better is if Bill thought there was an intruder in HIS garage and it was Hillary.

A nice fresh armed citizen story to go with your morning coffee.

Thanks, that's exactly how I'm reading. I came this close (holding fingers together) to moving to Texas when I retired from the USAF. Spent about two months in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and outside of getting onto the freeways, thought it was a great place to live. Alas, wife found work in Ohio, and after her having followed me around for near 20 years, it was my turn. ;)

What am I saying??? hehehe

Come on stupid people!!! Go there and voice your dissension!!!

But only do it at 4am in da mo-nin!!!

I know, I am such a stinker!!!

The unidentified burglar was rushed...through the most scenic ares of the city you’d ever imagine and on the way the EMT driver stopped at each Kodak Photo Opportunity Spot along the way so that photos could be taken for the family album and they even stopped at that new home made ice cream store to try each of the 33 flavors and to reminisce about old times...all on the way...to Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he later died...from excessive blood loss.

It was too bad really. Everyone was at a loss to explain it. Everyone was so broken up about the tragic loss of life for this young promising fine upstanding beacon of light in the community that they all went back and had some more of that terrific ice cream and took some more photos.

What does "frapped mean". Is it when the cops on the scene stand around drinking iced coffee drinks from Starbucks?

Huh?

From the story...

A Ledbetter-area business owner fatally shot a suspected burglar on Sunday, the second time in three weeks that he has killed a prowler, police said.

Well now...

More good news in this story: The case is one of several in recent weeks in which a home or business owner has shot an intruder.

That's right "Dont Mess with Texans"...

Sunday night around 10pm, the wife was coming home and noticed 3 men wearing black run between some houses into the alley. After she told me I grabbed my flash light and jump into the car, I noticed some police around that same house, explained to them what she had seen, confirming to the police what the neighbors had also reported...

Unfortunately, we could not find them...We have had a bunch of theft from garages in our quiet little community just east of Dallas.

I am going to risk my unsullied reputation and guess it has to do with the Google map pin pointing the location?
