I pay $3.99 a month through
LVCS and have been using them since 2004.
No problems whatsoever.
Excellent phone/email support too (they have always returned my email questions within one hour!). And I have emailed them no less than 4-5 times since '04.
Furthermore, I have recommended LVCS to friends and they've been happy with them as well.
Good luck whatever you decide on.

Bluehost.com is wonderful at $6.95 per month. I have used them for 4 years and host 5 sites on it. Tremendous support and loads of features but simple to use. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

hostgatorAre they related to the old Gator spyware folks? If not, it is an unfortunate choice of name.

Bluehost.com is wonderful at $6.95 per month. I'll second that. Great option for shared hosting.

My experience with Hostgator is that they provide solid shared Linux based hosting. I doubt they have anything to do with the awful Gator spyware.
I’ve also seen good performance from Imhosted.com. They seem to have very fast server connections and performance, for around $6.95 per month.

I use Homestead. Also, you have to have a theme.

OK. I’m just shy about anything with Gator in the name, although I think the Gator outfit runs through a different front name now.

What kind of decorative theme are you going to have or is this a blog? What’s important to you?

Don't know if you're still looking..
Stay away from GISOL, or Global Internet Solutions -- they are fraudulently billing customers hundreds and thousands of dollars for domain name renewals listed at $9.95, then locking their websites and holding their domain names hostage.
GoDaddy.com is good for getting your own domain name, then you can park it with any host.
