Can someone notate the dims from pubs?
The 4th “nv”, not listed by name, was JoAnne Davis, 1st district Virginia, who died of cancer a couple of weeks ago.
If you go to the Link the original at Thomas indicates who is Dem/Rep and Ind.
I’d like to see if any votes changed from the original passing of the bill.
Nice to see that Nikki Tsongas first vote was a loser.
Lets not be to harsh on the ones voting yes. We need to keep our seats and add to them next year.
My Congressman, Dave Weldon, voted no, surprisingly.
44 Republicans voted with the Liberals....not good.
Too close for comfort.
Tell ‘em what you think.
All the central Texas Repubs voted with the President and against Nancy pelosi on this. GOOD.
They must not be in the Rick Perry section of the party.
Dims werer voting "Yea," 'Pubbies were voting "Nay." Except for 2 each way. So the odds are, you can tell 'em by how they voted.
Including the only MD in the House, Denton County’s Dr. Michael Burgess.
Exactly, they probably disagree with the bill, but party leadership gave them the OK to vote for it so they can go back home and tell their constituents "See, I tried to get you free stuff with other people's money, but the other mean people wouldn't let me."
I am sorry to see my increasingly RINO Congressman LaTourette among the Yeas.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
Let’s apply a little Democrat-Style hyperbole to this, shall we??
Democrats Posture While Poor Children DIE!
Bush offered, they COULD have covered the Non-Illegal Alien poor...
WHY DO THEY WANT POOR KIDS TO DIE???
"Heck, they are going to be mad at me no matter what I do, might as well not buy the campaign headache this vote will get me"
Sad and shameful but all too human.
Another victory for Nancy - ahh wait a minute, has Nancy had any victories other than the minimum wage. If I recall the Dems could have had that victory before the elections. Wow, what is her batting average now?
People seldom do what they believe in. They do what is convenient....then repent. (R. Zimmerman)
Congratulations to The Widah Taxongas for getting her first ass-kicking. One day, one failure. What a record.
No increases in health care entitlements while some of us are still paying “double freight”—our own insurance premiums and the taxes to pay for everyone else’s health care.
Sing it loud!!!
vote by state and party
Failed 273-156, 4 not voting. 99% of Democrats supporting, 78% of Republicans opposing.
LaToilette used to be my congressman too. But he’s the only known Republican in that district, so we have to put up with him.
I can d--n well blame them!!
If they can't stand the heat then let them get out of the kitchen!!!
Mrs. Tsongas...elected yesterday...voting for Communism today.
No SCHIP, Sherlock!
Hahahahaha, good news - any failure to make another permanent entitlement program is a not a real failure after all.
Why even Bush can make a difference - what they did with those kids was digusting.
Notice how all the headlines are “House fails”?
How about “House succeeds in upholding veto”?
No bias here.

Over at DU, they’re just SCHIPPING their pants!
Is that, by any chance, the widow of old Paul Taxongas???
A sunk SCHIP.
Of course it is.
Nikki like Hillary like to jawbone about their “experience” — As far as I can tell, that means being married to a politician.
Niki only won by 5 pts in a heavy ‘rat district. Nice to see her get right into the groove, ignoring the 46% that voted for Ogonowski.
Hsu happens, too
