I wonder how carefully Lucianne.com monitors the posts the members can make. All it would take is a post with a link to a badware site that happened to be caught by Google.com in a scan, and Lucianne.com would be suspect.

It could happen to Free Republic too, or Moveon.Org, any site that allows users posts.

This is my point...I only Lurk at Lucianne...they are to restrictive for my posts...Hee Hee

Yet, I do not think we can let this stand as a way to restrict access to known quality conservative sites...to much at stake with the hate manifested on the left, and the MSM...hell look what they have, and are still trying to do to rush and conservatives on Radio with the Fairness Doctrine lies!

FR has been blocked in the past through this method various times too.

Without opening a can of worms, IIRC, a few years ago FR stopped (or tried to stop) Google from indexing FR for a period of time, claiming infringement.

The problem with that was FR's search is woefully lacking in capabilities.

Some sites have complained about search engines 'indexing' their sites, and then complained that search engines did not correctly represent them. They can't have it both ways.

Stopbadware.org seems to be an effort to stop bad scripts from being attached, intentionally or by third-party concerns, to regular websites or phishing type websites. [I received a paypal phishing email just a couple of weeks ago. The legit sites try to stop the bad sites. Stopbadware.org seems to be one of several sites with that in mind, since it is sponsored by Sun Micro, PayPal, Google, et al.]

Yeah, Google and Loral are TOTALLY comparable.

Now I’ve heard everything.

Until I have time to post all the information I have collected for the website Lucianne.com in the past few days, please know that this problem comes from a rogue advertising url which prompts for a non-signed MS download of ActiveX being necessary to view the site. [ It is NOT ]

When first reported to me I tested with several AV’s, Windows and Vista versions - all the reports have been sent to my AV vendors for review thru a special malware and reporting service I am a member of as well as to an Exec VP at Symnatec on Thursday.

I have forwarded the source URL’s and additional technical info to both the ad agencies and hosting servers of record.

If you use a good hosts or add blocking file with IE high sectuity regarding unathecticated author downloads to be not allowed or offered you should not be effected at al.

I will post more for you all when the data is finalized.

Thank you so much for your response to this very serious breach of Internet Integrity...

I look forward to your findings and advice that we can do here at FR to stop this fraud!
