SHREVEPORT, La. -- A noose found in a doctors' break room at LSU Health Sciences Center might be a piece of rope fashioned with a knot and a loop used to treat orthopedic patients, the head of the facility said.
After a maintenance worker found the rope on Wednesday, administrators at the hospital and medical school notified federal authorities because they were concerned the rope with loops on each end might have been placed in the break room to intimidate blacks.
But on Thursday, Dr. John McDonald, the hospital's top administrator, said the rope might be one used by surgeons to give traction to fracture patients.
To someone unfamiliar with medical procedures, the series of knots and loops could appear to be a hangman's noose.
University police are investigating how the rope got there and they will turn over their findings to the U.S. attorney's office and the FBI in Shreveport.
Since the Jena Six case made headlines, there have been a number of other nooses found in high-profile incidents around the country _ in a black Coast Guard cadet's bag, on a Maryland college campus, and on the office door of a black professor at Columbia University in New York.
The Jena case involves six black Louisiana teenagers charged with the beating of a white student. The incident happened after nooses were hung from a tree on a high school campus there _ a symbol of the lynching violence of the segregation era.

Of course, we all agree that every time somebody plants or finds a knotted string somewhere, the whole world needs to know about it.
Jeeze, I have FOUR looped ropes hanging from the rafters in my garage. I use the to hang (Oh,oh, make that “suspend”) furniture parts for staining and drying.
Probably better take them down before it becomes a federal case.
We have to know about all of them because otherwise we wouldn’t know about the campaign of racist terror sweeping across our nation. In the meantime, how many blacks have died at the hands of other blacks in the short time since the original Jena nooses were hung? My guess is that the numbers would rival the total number of blacks lynched in the 100 years after the Civil War.
As in 6-year old’s stick figure drawing of someone holding a gun results in suspension, (a lefty-detested symbol), in the seething, intolerant, lefty sponsored, 1984-like future, play hangman in school, get suspended or worse.

The numbers of lynchings listed in each source varies slightly. The NAACP lynching statistics tend to be slightly higher than the Tuskegee Institute figures, which some historians consider “conservative.” For example, in 1914, Possible.

one of the first knots Boy Scouts learn to tie early in their training is a Bowling Knot which resembles a noose.
Will the government remove that knot from acceptable knots to be tied by Scouts and firemen??
