looking for Cindy Sheehan, media circus photo
Posted on 10/29/2007 10:17:00 AM PDT by gymbeau
Hi, Folks. I'm putting together some media bias, sloppiness pictures for a writing course I teach. I'm trying to find some good shots to illustrate the situation and have some from Lebanon last year, Tourist Guy, etc. I'd like to find that Cindy Sheehan pic from Crawford that shows it's just her and, when you pull back, about a thousand (give or take several hundred) media types there. Any other good examples would be appreciated as well. Yes, I did a search. Thanks in advance.
TOPICS: Your Opinion/Questions
KEYWORDS: sheehan
Thanks, cheers Jim

There was a great pair of pictures of a Palistinian kid throwing a rock while holding a Pali flag a few years back. It was in all the newspapers. One guy took the picture from the opposite angle, and you could see twenty photographers all taking the same shot, completely staged.
I’ll try to find it.

Be sure you include the photo of the news-gal in the canoe when the guys walk past in ankle deep “flood waters”.

Jim, I don’t have any photos, but I’m willing to bet that you’re going to receive a deluge of them on this thread.
It would be cool if you could maybe post a little of your project when it’s done. I think FReepers would love it.
Good luck.

There was a great shot from way back in 1993 of Socks the Cat on the White House Lawn with the entire Washington Press Corps trying to get a photograph. I’ll look for that one, too.

There was a great pic of Sheehan and Jesse Jackson in a sweet embrace looking all mournful next to a cross in Crawford. Then a picture was taken of the media surrounding them.
Can’t find it on the web but I know that someone has to have it on FR.

I want that funny animated gif of GW Bush with a baseball bat. He’s in the batter stance and a lady in a pantsuit is standing about 2 feet away from him looking horrified. It looks like he’s about to hit her with the bat.

There was a great one from the California fire. There was a house that was burned to the ground. Inside sitting undisturbed was a plastic baby doll. Untouched by fire and dirt.

Notice this shot was taken from the nearside of the crosses and can only show the cameras on the farside of the crossed. There were even more cameras on this nearside, out of the view of this shot.

A thread devoted to creating a collection of fauxtography would be very interesting. An traveling exhibition of leftist/defeatist/anti-war/islamofascist fauxtography would flummox arts reviewers everywhere.
