When al-Qaidas media arm released its first Osama Bin Laden video in nearly three years, most of the media attention was focused on Bin Laden's beard. It appeared either dyed or perhaps even pasted on. He was ridiculed and a variety of theories were offered to explain it.
But now, there is a running debate among video analysts about whether al-Qaida faked the video altogether that rather than being new, the September 7 message may have been something recorded at the same time as his last video in October 2004 (and then released with new audio).
The point of departure for the debate is something not noted at the time: that of the 25 minutes of video tape, only three and a half minutes, were moving video. The rest was covered by a still image or a frozen still. Moreover, the still covered the only time references on the 25 minute of tape references to political developments in Iraq, Britain and France. This lead to the suspicion that the video is not new, but disguised to appear as new.

The question then becomes who and why???
Why doesn’t he [Bin Laden] come out into the open and blow himself up since that’s what he encourages others to do. Shameless coward.
Are they series? The folks at MSNBC really didn't notice this? Are they blind and/or stupid? Wait, don't say a thing. I know the answer.
I guess MCNBC should read Free Republic. This fact was noted here immediately.
yikes...this writer finally got around to reading FreeRepublic
"Maybe...coulda been Jack Murtha or Harry Reid with a turban and a fake beard."
Maybe Chuckie Schumer?

The Red Sox are lousy stinking Crusaders, the designated hitter rule is blasphemy. "Big Poppy" couldn't hit his weight if he had to play everyday.
Yep, he’d work too, any of those Dems would. Harry Reid actually looks amazingly like al-Zawahiri with glasses. I saw a picture of al-Z once and at first glance I thought it was Harry Reid with a white beard.
If what Fox News Reported several years ago that OBL died in Dec 01, than yes all the videos and audio tapes are fake.

Willfully ignored at the time. Either the lamestream
media didn’t bother actually watching the thing with
a translator handy, or did, but decided the implications
didn’t fit their template.

Binny is dead, or as good as.
The recent audiotape is a hoax as well.
The know-it-all MSM in NY would never admit they’re too slow to the draw.
It’s all about playing the two ends against the middle. First the top story is “new” Bin Laden tape then second is “new” Bin Laden tape is actually old. This way the MSM can continue to play fast and loose with known or should have been known facts.
Now that’s humor!!!
