The head of a conservative lobbying group warns that a homosexual employment bill pending in the U.S. House will "silence of people of faith" and be a "litigation nightmare."

 

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) may hold a vote this week on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), which seeks to make it illegal for employers to make decisions on hiring, firing, promoting, or paying an employee based on "actual or perceived sexual orientation." Last week, a vote on the measure was delayed due to squabbling among some Democrats and homosexual activists over whether to include in the bill special protections based on "gender identity and expression."

Andrea Lafferty, executive director of the Traditional Values Coalition, says Democrats are likely to bring ENDA up for a vote without allowing an amendment that deals with "gender identity."

"Barney Frank is a homosexual congressman who is infighting with homosexual grassroots groups about what the language should say. Should they include the term 'gender identity' or not. And gender identity is someone that has a sex change or a drag queen, all those kinds of things. But what they're not telling people is that it actually is included in the bill under the term 'perceived,'" she says.

According to Lafferty, the term "perceived" will do two things in the bill.

"It actually will give will give homosexuals and trans-genders greater protection than that's provided for African-Americans and Hispanics under the civil rights act," she explains. "The second thing that 'perceived' does is it actually does cover trans-genders and other folks. Traditional Values Coalition has been talking about the 30 orientations that the American Psychiatric Organization says exists, and that is what's going to be opening up with this term 'perceived.'"

Lafferty argues that even without the "gender identity" provision, "anyone with a non-conventional sexual orientation can claim protection under this legislation." She also says ENDA "will ultimately force people of faith to go to sensitivity training" and threatens Christian employees "who may wear a cross or talk about Christ at work."

I read "perceived sexual orientation" as, for example, a person who is believed to be homosexual when he really isn't.

But, I could be wrong. All these new terms, like transgendered, are so crazy, and I can't seem to keep track of them all.

Nice to work in a “fire at will” state like Colorado! Employers don’t need a reason to fire you.

Even in "fire at will" states like mine, employees will come back with a mega lawsuit claiming they were fired illegally based on race, sex, or disability or whatever.

Don't dare fire anyone without a legitimate business reason in any state.

Easy fix to combating this:

Employer: You’ve been caught stealing company merchandise/wasting company time/whatever gets people fired. We have you on video. You’re fired.

Ex-Employee: You can’t fire me! I’m gay! You’re discriminating with gay hate!

Employer: Not so. I’m gay too. You’re still fired.

Ex-Employee: What? You aren’t gay! You don’t act gay, talk gay, or put it in everyone’s face like a political statement! How can you be gay? You’re not gay enough to be gay!

Employer: Haven’t you listened to your own agenda. You’ve convinced everyone that everyone is gay. If everyone, including me, is gay, then how can I discriminate against you? You broke the law. You’re still fired.

Ex-Employee: Huh? Well, if you’re gay, prove it—have sex with me.

Employer: Stop right there. If you continue any further, you’ll not only have theft charges against you, but also sexual harassment. You’re just not my type, and you’re still fired for cause.
