She tied herself up in knots - in a way her opponents couldn't - with her non-answer about giving driver's license to illegal aliens. She must be the only New Yorker without an opinion on the plan (other than her colleague, Sen. Chuck Schumer). Her evasiveness on the most talked-about issue in the state reminded everyone of the worst of husband Bill and what could be in store if another Clinton makes it to the White House.

As a speculation: what IF the illegals were somehow magically transformed into fully franchised voters? Would that solve street crime? Would that mean that these new voters would be motivated to take up questions with the local school boards or city councils? Does that rescue the Social Security funding problem? Is access to housing improved? Will the labor supply problem be made less acute, as more and more ‘baby boomers’ retire?
Will America be able to maintain its productivity, or do we all sink into a ‘chicken taco’ economy?
I only foresee a permanently depressed financial and spiritual future, in which all the worst dystopias ever depicted are made real.

Why wasn’t Hillary better prepared to respond to the question about driver’s licenses?
She has a history of receiving questions in advance so she can prepare.

What will be interesting is the coming Dim/Pubbie debates once the nominees are chosen. Her Thyness will spin like a top for all to see. I have a cupboard thoroughly stocked with popcorn and I wait anxiously for that spectacle to come about....
