Miami-Dade police Wednesday were investigating the death of an armed, ski-masked man who was shot by the owner of a South Miami-Dade grocery store, apparently while trying to rob the store.
It happened Tuesday evening. The would-be robber pointed the gun at the store clerk at Diaz Groceries at the corner of Southwest 268th Street and 135th Avenue, according to Miami Herald news partner WFOR-CBS4 The grocery store owner, who was nearby, pulled out a firearm and shot the man, according to police reports. The man died on his way to Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Late Tuesday, homicide investigators remained on the scene interviewing witnesses.
Trick or T.......BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad nabe. Where the swamp meets the Avocados and the trailers, if you catch my drift.
Good shot by the store owner.
We were on SW 248th st pre-Andrew, in the good ole days. Even then, I always carried, even on our own property, or especially on our own property.
*sniff*
I love a happy ending...
Storybook ending!
One less DemoCriminal that the taxpayers will have to shell out for his trials and lifetimes incarcerations. That many less crime victims for society to deal with.
Now ... THIS is GUN control ...
HITTING your TARGET!!
Anyone wearing a ski mask into your business when the weather is not snow / sleet / freezing rain / bitter wind outside (or if it’s not Halloween) should be fair game for a premptive shot.
This is the best example of what we need. Justice west of the Atlantic.
Good job, thugs will think better about robbing that store again.
I support world peace - one carefully placed round at a time.
Make my day! Post the security camera video.
