Gee, I remember him from the time the little girl was kidnapped and murdered. He did a great job of catching the killer. He seemed like a great person.

Sorry to hear this now.

Can someone help me with the headline? How can you be ordered to pay bail?

You can't, more stupidity from the MSM. The judge set bail at $20K and $10K which really means $2,000 and $1,000.

Interesting article from the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa Daily Pilot about former Under Sheriff Haidl. Carona’s goose is cooked. It looks like this guy who posed as Mr. Goody Two-shoes when he ran to replace former Sheriff Brad Gates, another ego sleeze ball is about to head for the slammer.

Yea, but they lose the 2,000/1,000 even if they show up for trial. If they put the the 20k/10k they'd get it back after the trial.

True, but I wonder if you can write the money you pay to a bail bondsman off as legal fees.

I'd be surprised if you can write off legal fees in a criminal case, at least one not involving your economic activity.

That POS, I never liked that guy, I never trusted him. For all I know he had bribes, girls, and everything else going on in that office.

But that’s history. We wanna go on with a new Sheriff in town, ok.......you don’t?.....make a move. :)

I was okay with Corona until the rape thing with Haidl's kid. Then a bunch of red flags went up. I would be sad but not surprised to learn that Corona was corrupt.

Your screen name, by the way -- Eddie Haskell was my fave character on LITB. IMO, the actor who played him, Ken (now I've gone and forgotten his last name) somethingorother, was the best kid actor in the cast because he was always able to somehow make Eddie sympathetic, even though Eddie was a primo Schmuck most of the time. To create pathos (a little bit of sadness or depth in otherwise shallow comic characters, as I define it) in the rest of the characters (with the exception of Lumpy!) would have come relatively easy, but to do it successfully with Eddie Haskell, as Ken whats-his-name did, took real acting skills. If you know him, tell him THANKS for some great TV!
