Has the global warming alarmism movement hit its apex? Maybe so. In recent weeks, we've seen a resurgence of hard scientists who have come out strongly against the warm-mongers, the latest of which is Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change member John R. Christy who in an editorial in today's Wall Street Journal tells the world that not only does he not believe no one's proven humans cause global warming, he's refusing his "share" of the Nobel Peace Prize that he was awarded because it was based on a misunderstanding of science.

I thought it was the UN that was awarded the prize. I bet they don’t reject it.
In a nutshell............
I hope Mr. Christy can get used to eating alone in the UN commissary...
The man made global warming myth is beginning to come apart at the seams.
Oh, thank you. Reason prevails. I have letters going back and forth between relatives from North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Missouri for two hundred years that talk about unseasonably warm winters, deaths caused by years where mosquitos didn’t die, influenza (which they believed was caused by the warm winters). We were farmers. We lived by the weather. I thought the world of science had lost its minds. Phew!
Brave man! We should all thank him for sending a shaft of sanity into the group think insanity of global warming.
Try this article.....
There, I fixed it for you.
My grandmother was a rancher. The woman talked about the weather not because it was a cliche and known nuetral topic that wouldn’t insult anyone. She was interested! She noticed if it hadn’t rained for 24 days or if there hadn’t been a freeze November, etc., etc. . . .
John Christy, my hat’s off to you sir.
Watch out Mr. Christy, that freight train heading straight for you in none other then Al Gore
last night on south park, Al Gore nuked our imagination to kill ManBearPig. The man will stop at nothing.
True Scientists cannot endorse the global warming wackos. IF they did they would be throwing everything they learned in school in the trash can.
Notice how they loudly proclaimed the discussion re CLIMATE CHANGE is “over” because the science is already established and accepted. Keep in mind back in the early 1900’s it was believed that going over 40mph or so in an automobile would cause death.
Frankly, if I went to the mailbox one day and found I had been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, I would be insulted. What, they are putting me in the company of Jimmy Carter, Al Gore, Yassir Arafat, and a boatload of nasty losers?
But I’m not so proud I wouldn’t take it, because it’s a LOT of money. Enough to heat Al Gore’s house for a couple of years. Maybe I’d say what I thought of it in my acceptance speech, to ease my conscience.
So I was wondering about this scientist turning down the other half. I’m relieved to see that he was only a micro-winner, and probably wasn’t offered any money at all. No doubt the cash went to the UN, where the usual types will spend it on another party for themselves.
Will AlGore and Jimmah Rabbit please return theirs also?
Hopefully, this isn't really what he said, since it contains a double negative and would mean that he does believe someone has proven humans cause global warming.
Is the Nobel Prize prestege past its apex?
To me, that sentence has a double negative thing going on. Saying "not only does he not believe no one's proven humans cause global warming" is saying that he does believe someone has proven man has caused global warming. Shouldn't it read:
John R. Christy who in an editorial in today's Wall Street Journal tells the world that not only does he
not believe no one's proven humans cause global warming, he's refusing his "share" of the Nobel Peace Prize that he was awarded because it was based on a misunderstanding of science.
This nation was abundantly blessed with mammalian life, bucolically munching on grasses. There were Native Americans using their wits to survive (and doing quite well at it, I might add).
This is another example of poor scholarship and an abysmal lacking in historical data provided by those who lived it. It’s easy to mislead a bunch of folks who neither took the time or had the inclination to pay attention. It’s so tragically simple to mislead poorly guided generations to faulty conclusions.
that should be, “...nor had the inclination...”.
Excuse my rush.
"In an op-ed in today's Wall Street Journal, Christy tells the world that not only does he believe it's unproven that humans cause global warming, he's refusing his "share" of the Nobel Peace Prize that he was awarded because it was based on a misunderstanding of science."
His ‘share’ likely is a letter signed by the Nobel committee maybe with a gold foil seal. It could be framed and hung on the wall above his PhD. Or, in this case put in a manila folder in the back of the second drawer on the left.
Yeh. I am not infrequently unfond of people who fail not to misuse negatives.
Sometimes it doesn’t take a village - just one brave and honest man... Hats off to John R. Christy.
“It is scientifically inconceivable that after changing forests into cities, turning millions of acres into farmland, putting massive quantities of soot and dust into the atmosphere and sending quantities of greenhouse gases into the air, that the natural course of climate change hasn’t been increased in the past century.” — John R. Christy
Must be mistyped. The source is stated correctly. I was also disturbed by it, so I checked....
Awwwww. . .I bet this means Al won’t be running for Prez. And here I’d bought all that pop corn for the show!
