Only thing Lieberman gets right is the WOT, everything else he’s a lib.

Yes he does and he is. But if we don't get the WOT right, nothing else will matter.

To quote Tony Snow, W's "uniter" philosophy was non confrontation.

I believe a lot of this comes from his strong Christian faith. Over and over, we are told in church to be the stronger person by not getting into these conflicts. It only works for so long then you have to face reality.

Wow... I mean I know the fake callers make a point to call in when Rush is out, but this guy got fooled quite a few times today IMO.

That one guy that sounded just like the first. Start out talking how he is a ‘lifelong republican’ and how he hates both parties, republicans are useless, pox on both their houses, we’re demoralized, we stink.

Then 10min later (still on the air) he is talking about how we need to be moderate and have an Iraq exit strategy, and not be so partisan.

Just like the Ron Paul “republicans” that call into cspan’s Washington journal everyday, who start out the same way... posing as just a demoralized and frustrated lifelong republican and by the end of the call are blaming the “j000z” and halliburton, or blackwater and Bush should be impeached and whatever else.

Yes, I think that's exactly from where it comes. He really lives his faith.

The kids for Colbert aren't alone.

Given a choice between Colbert running as a Democrat and Republican Congressman Ron Paul, 36% of voters prefer Colbert while Paul attracts 32%. Twenty-one percent (21%) say they’d vote for some other candidate while 10% are not sure.

If the choice is between Colbert as a Republican and Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich, it’s Colbert 37%, Kucinich 32%. Nineteen percent (19%) would vote for some other candidate and 11% are not sure.

In each match-up, Colbert's adversary attracts little more than half his partisan base. Paul attracts just 51% of GOP voters. Kucinich attracts 53% of Democrats.

That's funny AND sad at the same time. What does that say about politicians when a man who is not even really serious about being a candidate gets higher poll numbers than you do? What I find hilarious with what Colbert is doing is that it is so tongue in cheek. He is making a mockery out of those who are actually taking him seriously.

"Your classmates picked a clown who thinks he's funny and they also picked Colbert."

I like it! I bet we could come up with a few hundred of them and make them sound like "you could be a redneck" jokes.

Didn’t know where to put this, but was struck by GW’s speech at the Heritage Foundation today. Fox ran it live, although presumably the rest of the media ignored it. Anyone watching, couldn’t have missed the steely look in GW’s eyes and the bald language as he spelled out exactly what ‘extreme’ Islam wants, the terror the world faces. He said they want their former caliphate back, all of Europe, Eurasia, Africa, and infidels dead or else. We, along with Jews, he said, are included in that category. He castigated the senate judiciary committee for sitting on the nomination of the attorney general for 41 days. Americans need those protections, and the law runs out soon. As for the nominee’s refusal to commit to outlawing waterboarding...that happens to be top secret, and he has no access to that information.

You know...I got my insurance bill the othe day and noticed that they added all these fees (like 4 or 5 new ones!) to pay for Citizens insurance. Unbielevable. He needs to do something for both taxes and insurance...like cutting budgets!!!!

And I'll bet none of them could articulate even ONE of "his views."

I actually asked him, "And what views do they like?" Got the deer-in-headlights stare.
