Nah, those schlubs just don't appreciate stimulating conversation.
Now, that’s thinking outside the box!

My favorite jargon is “Let’s do a deep dive on that” or “thats beyond your bandwidth”
You just need to learn to think outside the box. All empty jargon and incorrect grammar will then make perfect sense and be impactful on your career. Be proactive while you are at it.
ROTF!!!
Lazy people who sabotage you for working a solid eight hours while they squander the time chatting away on several different phones with friends and relatives all day and strategically time their days off so any work coming to them gets dumped in your lap.
Very few, very rarely, and not for long.
I worked for a small company which was bought out by Robert Bosch (600,000 employees). Shortly after taking over they brought in a new HR director from a temp service. He got rid of all the carry over HR staff and replaced them with temps. in the ensuing years, the entire department would take vacation at the same time. That wasn't much of a handicap as none of them knew a thing about our benefit program and there were no "employee handbooks" to fall back on.
Bosch eventually drove the place into the ground and left after closing the entire operation. We used to call the absentee management "Seagulls" because they'd fly in for a few days, make a lot of noise, crap all over everything in sight, and then fly off!

PS I retired before they pulled the plug!
“Corporate Accounting, Nina speaking, just a moment. Arrrgh.”
Sounds like someone has a case of the “Mondays”! ;-)
Okay, Don Corleone.
Oh man do I agree. One of my pet peeves. What was wrong with the term "personnel"? At least it mentions a 'person' and not the whole human race!
No, it’s the ones who are left to do their work that complain about them being gone for so long and so often but there are slackers everywhere it seems.
They have bullshit bingo for that now. Do a google
I'll second that. Cheaper than therapy and works like a charm. Keeps me laughing for *days* afterward.
LOL!
Actually I am fortunate. Most of my workday is spent alone, but linked to others on location by phone and data feeds.
There is plenty to do, jobs are clearly delineated, and there is no opportunity to slough your duties on someone else without everyone knowing about it.
It is a demanding mission-oriented work environment, and those who do not perform don't last long.
Most of us are away from home for the duration (until we finish the well), so 'watching the clock' is a waste of time.
Besides, we're mostly all conservatives here in the oil patch, and that eliminates an amazing amount of BS.
You'd be amazed. In the ladies' room where I used to work, you could count on seeing tears, temper tantrums, drinking, passed-out from hangovers, and gossip sessions (not all at the same time ;-)
Oh, Helloo, NEWMAN.
My backstabber got demoted after 1.5 years. It happens to them all eventually.
