Rudy didn’t want to know much about him. He saw him as effective for HIS purposes and didn’t question him.

Not good policy ... .

Worse yet, he ignored briefings that told him Kerik was mobbed up. You'd think that a mayor would remember little things like that....

"Mr. I-broke-the-Mafia" was all-too willing to promote his crooked pal. Loyalty over integrity - that's Rudy in a nutshell.
