Is Ron Paul interchangeable with Alex Jones?

You seem to be "in the know" about all things Ron Paul, so could you answer a couple of questions?

Have you ever come across a source for "Ron Paul 2008" magnetic bumper stickers? I'd like to show my support for the good doctor, but I hate putting adhesive-type stickers on my car. Besides, I'd just have to scrape it off before too long to make room for a "Don't blame me - I voted for Ron Paul" bumper sticker.

To donate the $100 tomorrow and have it show up as a 11/5 donation, I assume you have to do it thru the campaign website. Since all my donations to RP2008 PCC to-date have been by mail ($500 so far!), I don't know whether you can pledge the money at his web site but pay by check. Do you know if you can do it this way?

I know... google is my friend, but I didn't think to search for answers to the above at work & I have dial-up at home (slooooooow), so, can you help a brother out?

Well, I'm not the expert on all things Ron Paul but I used a Google search.

"Ron Paul" magnetic bumper stickers - Google Search

At this place, they sell 12 of the rectangular magnet stickers for $30, or 18 of the oval ones for $30, or 50 of the 3"x11.5" window clings for $30. This is the kind of order that Meetups usually make for their members. (Magnetic Car Signs and Window Clings - Ron Paul Grassroots HQ) Note this is not a campaign website so profits don't go to RP.

If you live in near a big city, it's likely the local Meetup can sell these to you in small numbers.

Some of these are being resold on eBay: Ron Paul magnetic items on eBay.com

Two auctions are offering 3 ovals for $4 shipped (unless bidding goes higher). This auction will finish this evening: Ron Paul magnetic Ovals for car quantity 3 - (eBay item 320176823747 end time Nov-04-07 19:46:41 PST)

One of the best solutions is to call 1-800-RON-PAUL and request a few of the adhesive bumper stickers and then buy your own blank magnetic paper and put the sticker on it yourself. Then donate the money you saved to RP's campaign.

You know, these kids with all their websites are really creative. I can't help but admire their spirit and determination.

AFAIK, you can't pledge online and pay by mail. They're separate categories. Currently, I think we're about to pass $2.3M for 4Q in online fundraising but the total for 4Q is $2.73M, showing that they are entering and counting those checks and what they raise at fundraisers. It takes a week or so for it to show up though. The kids love the online thing, they love to donate and then see their name on the recent donors list, then they run back to report it on the forum. I get a kick out their enthusiasm for all things RP. It's very upbeat.

There is nothing, and no one, in Congress that could not be improved by the liberal application of TNT...

That being said, I cannot support Ron Paul for President. His pandering to the anti-war crowd over our RETALIATORY war against Islamic Extremism is a deal breaker.

King George saw our Founding fathers as "violent radicals".

(sarc)"Playing along to get along" and "working within the system" has really worked well for us hasn't it?(/sarc)

People have been bitching about Ron Paul and other conservative libertarian types since before I signed up here.

Has the GOP in general slid so far leftward that candidates trying to stick up for Constitutional principles are no longer welcome on one of the webs premier gathering spots for "conservatives"?

Granted, Ron Paul isn't my choice for Pres in '08, Duncan is, but on issues other than the war... Dr. Paul is far superior to the MSM supported Top 3 contenders Rudy, John, and Willard.

I really appreciate the effort you put into your response. You saved me hours of dial-up googling.

Your suggestion about putting a regular sticker on a magnetic base makes me feel like an idiot for not thinking of it first. Hope you're happy.

FWIW, you, EEE, and a very few others are what keeps me coming back to "hostile territory", i.e. FR. You guys rock!

Keep up the good fight.

Obviously it has. The fact that JulieAnnie's announced candidacy wasn't dismissed with peals of laughter gives the clue. Or Romney's. Then you've got the air waves full of hypocrites like the Book of Virtues/Gambler. How can anyone listen to these RINOS and call themselves conservatives?

The Pubby Party is controlled by the country clubbers again. Expect to see the social conservatives given the shaft yet again if the Pubbies win.

Giant Douche, or a Turd Sandwhich. It's a two party system and you have to vote for one of them.

And people wonder why things are so screwed up...

I actually started to type in traviskicks name too, but wasn't sure of the exact spelling and didn't want to praise a similarly-named, rabid anti-Paul by mistake.

I sure don't want any of the Paul supporters to feel slighted because I didn't mention them by name. You guys know who you are - you constantly have profanity and personal attacks directed at you, with the knowlege that a like response will get you "gcruised". I stand in awe of the man who gets attacked with the same discredited lie from the same freeper time after time yet maintains civility and courtesy in his response.

Speaking of which GWB, I've been taking some abuse on a "things are getting better in iraq so the invasion was OK" thread (title is "Daily Iraqi sectarian death toll hits rare low" - don't know how to post a link to it). Since you are not in total agreement with Dr. Paul's foreign policy positions, I'd welcome some constructive criticism on what I've posted there, if you've got the time and inclination.

Regardless, thanks again for the info.

I glanced over your posts on that other thread. You’re probably not going to convince them to change their minds but you’re holding your ground well.

I thought I'd post these live graphs so Friends Of Ron can watch them throughout the day. Looks like the night owls gave a half million already. Not bad.

Not bad at all, very good in fact.

How much will the RP campaign have to raise today before the MSM takes notice? 5 million? 10?

I think the target was something like 12 million (120,000 donors at $100 apiece), so if it isn't met I suppose the headline would read: "Paul Campaign Below Expectations."

You have to wonder why the dinosaur media continues to ignore the largest grass-roots presidential campaign in US history.

Thank you!!!! Made the donations. Love to see him hit the goal, however, I don’t care if he misses his mark today. What ever he raises today is more than he had the day before.

What on Earth does Guy Fawkes day have to do with American politics?

I just checked the Constitution. Fawkes was not mentioned in it, therefor he doesn't exist.

Aha, this explains why my misguided Ron Paul supporting son had a Guy Gawkes mask on while trick-or treating last week!
