That’s funny. My older brother if he has the time will go with the credit card people. “Well, I already have three credit cards but they’re maxed out. Can I still get your’s? I can! That’s great. Now....can I use that to buy anything? I can! Wow!! I saw a big screen T.V. that I would realy like, can I buy that? Cool!” Then he rips into them for giving such easy credit and helping put people further into debt, “I always pay cash”, etc. Of course the poor telemarketer is just trying to earn a buck too.

Whenever I get called by a telemarketer I say, “Hold on a second.” Then I just lay the phone down on the table and forget about it.

Exactly. It is not the fault of these poor guys and gals on the other end of the telephone. They are just people in a position where they don’t have much choice but take a job that is available.

I try to be gentle with them. I’ve been in situations where I had to take the job that was there.
