Thanks AB & Good Morning to EveryOne! Thanks also to Johnnie & snugs for the honor. I am taking off this week, looking forward to reading your chat later in the night.

Here 's this sunday's Media Nuggets

###### Why MSM shower praise on Powell? Because Powell Tried To Use Blair To Undermine Bush.

###### If things are so bad, why are they so good? -> Despite the Gloom, More Bush Boom.

###### Giving "Journalists" what they deserve! Get a Clue from Germany! Big Brother Eyes German Journalists. It may soon no longer be a good idea to tell a journalist something confidential over the phone in Germany. It would also perhaps be prudent to avoid sending e-mails, faxes or text messages. In the future, sources might be better off furtively intercepting reporters on their way home, writing letters, or sending smoke signals. Good Job, Merkel!

###### Journalism Confusion! -> Violence In Iraq Way Down. Escalating violence = civil war & Decreasing violence = confused journalists!

###### A Challenge to Time Magazine! -> to Get Their Facts Straight on Iraq reportage.

###### MSM Reporter bully U.S soldier in Baghdad Calvan, a Baghdad correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers admits his efforts to "bully" a U.S. soldier who stopped him at a checkpoint outside the Green Zone. Now there are demands that McClatchy should recall that Baghdad reporter

###### Wash.TrashPost Reporting 101 -> Success of Military not worth Front page reporting, NEVER.

###### NYTimes writer's Lie exposed -> with Video as proof, on Fred Thompson reportage. And, that 's not the only time.

###### 'Newsweek' to Cut 500,000 From Rate Base. Circulation Guarantee to Advertisers Dropped to 2.6Million.

###### Herald-Tribune Media Group Cutting Jobs and a section completely. It 's part of the NYTimes Co.

###### Several Big Newspapers' circulation fall -> to the highs of over 7% including Atlanta Journal-Constitution, South Florida Sun-Sentinel, San Diego Union-Tribune, Miami Herald and Dallas Morning News.

This Just In .......

*** Awakenings -> The Schiavo case revisited..

*** Speakeasy! Karl Rove.

*** CNN sent Bobbie Batista to Retirement, now she co-hosts the Retirement Living Channel!

*** Clinton Scandals -> Up for Auction!

Good morning.

It appears this has been a very slow news week. About the only couple of things that seem to be of use are the Mukasey nomination and the Democrats’ debate, in which Hillary bombed.

Unusually, we’re not seeing the usual talking heads on the Mukasey nomination so I guess the MSM is giving the committee a pass.

And then there’s Hillary... since she’s already made the rounds and probably feels too aloof to give it another go, she has sent a lackey to try and save face/spin this in a positive way. After all, we all remember “the cackle.”

NBC’s got Fred, not surprising since Fred worked for and collected a paycheck from NBC up until the point he announced for President. Russert is typically a softie to Dems and a pompous @$$ to Republicans; let’s see if he’s even more of a pompous @$$ than usual. Fred seems to handle himself very well under pressure, so this should be very interesting.

The rest is a pretty ho-hum collection. We have Edwards on ABC and Biden on CBS. Fox, I’m not sure where they’re going with this line of interviewees, but G.H.W. Bush should be a good interview.

Ratings coming up...

Excellent catch on how Powell tried to use Tony Blair to beat up on GW (more BDS on Powell's part?) and even more revealing how Blair always folded in the presence of GW.

When you stop and think about all the BS President Bush has endured in his two terms you have to wonder how he remains such a gentleman right to the end. The guy is truly a class act no question.

You might no always agree with what he does but its impossible not to respect our President unless you are truly deranged.

There is no way we can ever thank DFU for all the hard work he has done! Let’s hope the story gets out far and wide.

Well, I see that Late Edition has all dems on this Sunday, save Tony Blair.

Oh, I'm sorry! I just noticed the (R) after McCain and Specter. They (CNN) forgot to add the INO after the (R).

Powell was listed by the UK Telegraph among the most influential “liberals” and omitted from the conservative list. That alone is evidence of Powell’s political leanings even though he claimed to be on our side.

Powell is mostly a RINO and proves it when he speaks on issues.

The BIG news of the week was that the newsies — and weatheries — finally got a hurricane.

The prediction of 7 seems to have fallen short, but at least, they got one -- finally. They were orgasmic in their reporting, as this hurricane sustained Category 1 strength for a whole 6 hours, more or less.

"The power under the Constitution will always be in the People. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own chusing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interest, or not agreeable to their wishes, their Servants can, and undoubtedly will be, recalled." (George Washington, May 31, 1776)

Please VOTE .... even if it's just for the local School Board. The only way to stop what is going on in DC is to make our "Servants" accountable, beginning at the local level and working our way up. 'Preaching to the choir', I know ....... :-)

I don’t watch, but the website says MTP will air at 8 today due to the marathon. Does that mean it’s on now and nobody’s watching? If so, a great time to have Fred on. /s
