Former President to Give Clinton No Pass

Former President to Give Clinton No Pass Nov 4 01:34 PM US/Eastern By DARLENE SUPERVILLE Associated Press Writer WASHINGTON (AP) - Former President George H.W. Bush says the post-White House friendship he has nurtured with the man who turned him out of office won't make him go any easier on his successor's wife, Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Bush and former President Clinton in recent years have worked together on numerous charitable causes, including raising money for victims of the Indonesian tsunami in late 2005 and Hurricane Katrina in 2006.

"And I might say I've enjoyed playing golf with the guy," Bush said.

But none of that will make him hold his tongue against Hillary Clinton, who leads the Democratic presidential nomination race.

"I'm enough older that he has treated me with great deference and I would say friendship. And so there is a friendship there," Bush said of former President Clinton in a taped interview broadcast on "Fox News Sunday."

"But just as he's not going to tiptoe about his differences with the president, I wouldn't tiptoe with my differences with Hillary," Bush said. "But I don't plan to be all involved in this."

Bush also was asked to explain the country's attachment to the Bushes and Clintons. A Bush or Clinton has been on the ballot in every presidential contest since 1980; Bush's son, George W., is finishing his second term as president.

"Well, I don't know that it's an attachment to families. I think it's being in the right place politically at a certain time," the elder Bush said.

That is what you get when you elect a moderate!

EX President Bush, What do you think of your friend selling vital information to China for money.

I always thought you were a good man until you started pimping for your good buddy, he has no morals and sold out AMERICA.

Lots more than just charity affairs, he gave the criminal “his good friend” some backing!

That is what you get with a moderate, they will compromise on most things.

The “What if I could just say what I really mean?” Column.

Former President of the United States, GHW Bush says the friendship with BillyBoy Clinton was forced, and uncomfortable, and the same will be true of HillyBoy.

President Bush and Billyboy have had to work together for our nation, playing golf when time would permit while on the road. “And I might say it was fun, but I won’t since he cheats”.

I’m older, smarter, and have ‘really’ been the President, unlike someone I know who let his wife go to work for him so he could hide behind her skirt to get away from the hoochie honeys that went public.

Even though I speak my mind, I have better things to do than just be in the media, so let’s get this done.

When asked by the press why the past Presidents have been the Bushes or the Clintons ever since 1980, he responded with “Because those are the names of the men that the people of this country elected.”

With regards to his Clinton "friendship" I would say this:

Keep your enemies closer.

Notice that he always says "I like golfing with him, etc.?" Read between the lines. Bush hasn't accepted everything Clinton did. Heck, he is probably still plotting how to get even for the election defeat.

Thank you for telling like it really is. They protected them so I find no difference in any of them when it comes to this nations welfare. These elites & wantabe elites 1st principle is protecting their ilk. Both of these families have not benefited Americans in the ways that should have been but these sheeple are ready to nominate a Hildabeast or a Muslim or a Rudy. How much worse can it get.

Some political backing? When? Where? When you say things like that on FR, you have to have citations to prove it.

” Some political backing? “

Do not put words in my mouth!

I did not say political backing, I meant personal backing for the his “good friend” who sold out the USA to China.

I have no idea why the Bush family thinks it shines their reputations when they befriend and socialize with the disgraced criminal Bill Clinton.

If you watched it, what came through in this interview was a picture of privilege.

“Public service is wonderful” translates to “people like me never had to worry about anything because of our status and connections - wonderful schools, “Presidents who would put me in positions when times got bad”, etc.”, so we can play around in “public service” rather than worry about how the next rent check or grocery store order is going to be paid. It’s the same stuff you hear from Kennedys and Rockefellers.

It’s getting to the point that at the ruling class level George Wallace was right - there’s not a dime’s worth of difference between them, except Republican elites belong to nicer country clubs.

We’d better get a Harry Truman or a Ronald Reagan type back in power soon or we will be like those Latin American countries both Rep and Dem elites pander to - a few fabulously rich in control and the millions of average folk scrambling to make it through the day.

Listening to dad today made me rethink where W got a lot of the positions he holds on to, like amnesty and unlimited spending.

What do you think I’m implying? Oh my God, get your mind out of the gutter (though I guess with Clinton anything could happen.) The fact they have such a close friendship is Not Good, that’s all I’m saying. And that Papa Bush will be tough on Her Thighness? I sincerely doubt it.

Beware the Republi-crat-Media Complex.

Time for a populist surge from the hard-working people who really make this country what it is.

I know I'd be shaking in my boots with GHW Bush threatening to run against me. Not.

I'll say it again. These two families are way too cozy with each other, and it is time for someone else.

No more Bush-Clinton-Bush
