Hillary Clinton Tough? As You Now See, No
North Star Writers Group ^ | November 5, 2007 | Dan Calabrese

Posted on 11/05/2007 11:09:38 AM PST by ConservativeColumns

Where did people get the idea that Hillary Clinton is tough?

Her debate meltdown last Tuesday made it a bit more obvious to some who hadn’t noticed it previously, but her lack of toughness has been on display throughout her time as a public figure.

Sen. Clinton’s abysmal performance in last week’s debate was going to happen sooner or later. When you obfuscate on every issue, it’s only a matter of time before someone calls you on it. If this is too much for you, how can you handle being president?

How many more of these “debates” are scheduled before the primaries start? It will be interesting to see how she “handles” the rest of them.................

Like very liberal, she has a political glass jaw. What makes this unusual isn’t that once ‘verbally punched’ she sounds like an idiot (all liberals do when you challenge them on ANYTHING when you think about it) but that the MSM has given her a pass on it for more than seven years running.

This is why Hillary Clinton never enters into public debates, folks. She’s just not the bright politically.

Hillary is only tough when she has her bodyguards and FBI Files. As with all bullies she turned into a wimp when the boys called her on her flipping and flopping.

Now shes saying ...."the boys are picking on me."

Lady(term used loosely), if you can't stand the heat of political debate, how are you going to deal with our enemies?

I liked the question that Russert asked her three times. “Will you promise if elected to not allow Iran to go Nuclear?”
She answered three times “I will do everything in my power.”
Just what we need someone who when they fail says “I tried!”

What you see is -

1) No character. Not lack thereof but NONE.
2) Horrible, bad temper.
3) Inability to take criticism.
4) Slow thinker.
5) Equivocator.
6) Not particularly intelligent.
7) Relies on false image!

First class b*tch.

I waited all week to watch “Meet the Press” to see how Russert handled this issue. Curiosly, there was no mention of that debate at all. Did the Clintonistas get to Tim already?

Redundant ... you already wrote ‘no character’. SinkEmperor took full advantage of the self-absorbed Hillary Rodham and has used he lust for power (which, being the clueless bitch she is can never be achieved) to try and vault himslef back into the seat of power. He may pull it off with the help of his henchghouls, but clueless Hillary will not be able to see that she is merely a means to his ends.

Liberal ideology is rationally indefensible. That’s why they won’t ever proudly declare themselves as “liberal”, and why they ALWAYS have to use unassailable victims to tout their ideology.

The next time someone calls themselves a "Progressives," ask them to describe what progress looks like.

Most of them have no idea.

Like all liberals, she cannot afford to reveal her true intentions, because if she did the general public would reject her. That is why she has to hide behind vague generalities, equivocations, and present herself as more conservative than she really is.

I do disagree with this:

The White House press corps leans left, to be sure, but as her husband could tell her (and good grief, hasn’t he?) they won’t toss softballs to a Democratic president forever

No, I remember that very keenly. During the reign of The Nameless One, the press corps suddenly had NO curiosity, NO ability for independent thought, NO concern with being handled and manipulated. They just lay back and thought of England during the Clinton years.

Only hard questions came from Rush Limbaugh and FreeRepublic.

PERIOD.

Bullies are tough when they have all the power on their side. They are weak and cowardly if anyone succeeds in fighting back.

This streak of weakness makes them even more dangerous when they have power. Tyrants torture and kill people not just because they are powerful and everyone else is weak, but because they are weak and fearful inside, and they fear being challenged or deposed. Stalin is a good example of that psychological mindset. Hillary would also be a good example of it, if the voters are stupid enough to give her the chance.

Hitler was elected to start with, then the rest was history.

Like all bullies and thugs, The Hildabeaste tries to rule via intimidation.

And, as expected, once somebody with cojones stands up to her she crumbles like the proverbial chocolate chip cookie.

Some people, Fred Thompson comes to mind, have the ability to stand on their own two feet and their convictions about an issue.

Others, like The Hildabeaste, once stripped of their support structure, as in the debate last Tues, quickly prove there’s nothing to them.

LOL. The press has been giving her a pass for eight years now. Don't see that that is going to change. Once the primaries are over, it'll be: "Ms.Clinton, it must be so hard running for POTUS as a woman and I respect you so much." I know. It's not even a question, which is the point.

Mitt Romney got off the best Hillary Slapdown, do far (to which even her quick response team had no answer).

10/29 Hannity interview: Without batting an eyelash, Mitt refered to Hillary as an "intern" ----that Americans don't want an "intern" in the Oval Office (in the context of someone w/ no practical experience).

LOL---Hillary an intern---nice allusion to Bill/Moanica scandal.

Mitt is quite deft with a quip. Gotta love it.

Mitt debating Hillary---that we gotta see---would be memorable.

Whoever wins the Republican nomination should take note. The way to run against Sen. Clinton is to go after her mercilessly on issues and on her qualifications – not personal stuff – and not to be intimidated when she inevitably whines about the “negative attacks.” Shrillness is not toughness. There is nothing tough about Hillary Clinton. It’s about time people started figuring that out.

This is an excellent article and well worth reading in its entirety.

One thing you can say about George W. Bush: he doesn't wilt.

Way back when - when Newt Gingrich was thinking of running for President - his mother was interviewed by Connie Chung. When asked by Connie ("just between you and me" - with the cameras running....) what Newt really thought of Hillary, his mother replied, "He thinks she's a b---h." The Clintons tripped over themselves for a photo-op and invited Newt to the White House for tea. Newt's mother damaged him with her lack of discretion, but nevertheless, it's plain to see that Newt (& by extension, his mother) was right all along. She really IS a b---h! And a whiner, too. All those nasty boys treating her just like another nasty boy. hahahahahahaha
