BOLINGBROOK, Illinois (CNN) -- Police are using tracking dogs, airplanes, infrared sensors and volunteers on foot Tuesday to look for a young mother who disappeared nine days ago, leaving her 4- and 2-year-old children behind.
Stacy Peterson, 23, has been missing from her suburban Chicago home since October 28.

Her husband of four years, Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, 53, reportedly has told police his wife said she was leaving him for another man, and police are not treating the disappearance as a criminal investigation.
But the woman's aunt, Candace Aikin, of El Monte, California, said Stacy Peterson confided in her that there were problems during a visit to the Peterson home in suburban Chicago last month.
"She said that she was afraid because he was following her around 24/7, even inside the house," Aikin said. "He was very obsessed and stalking her, even inside her house.
"She was very, very full of stress and just not happy in her marriage at all," Aikin said.

I read on another forum where a woman claimed hotels do not hire people under 18. She thought Petersen’s reference to the hotel where he met Stacy may actually have been the place for underage trysts.
Trying to nail down when Stacy first met Drew Peterson. Was she 17? He dated her while still married to #3. They have been married 4 years. He’s now 53 & she’s 23. She was pregnant when they married. According to the first reports - she was working in a hotel or a convenience store (?) and he got her a job at the police station.
Her mother disappeared 8 years ago - did he investigate that disappearance? Did he first meet Stacy then? Did he know or date her mother? He & 3rd wife were married 10 years. Do not know the history of 1st & 2nd marriages or their duration. This guy is a serial adulterer at the very least.
Reminds one of the other Peterson Scott and Laci!
The former is an adult who has enough life experience to make her own decisions.
The latter is prey.

Stacy’s family moved around a lot - so it’s not clear whether the mom disappeared from Bolingbrook. Stacy also had two siblings who died young - one in a house fire and one from SIDs. More recently a sister Tina, died of cancer age 40. Stacy has had a very tragic life for a 23 year-old.
Tragic indeed.
So at a young age she sees this older man as a stable father like figure that would help her along in life...or how ever one would phrase it.

I was talking about his latest wife. She was working at a hotel as a maid and he was doing security. She ended up pregnant from him at 17. He was married at the time. He dumped the woman and married the 17 year old Stacy .
Breaking 10pm Left Coast time:
Police entering inside Drew Peterson home with camaras and looking around now.
Drew Peterson unknown where abouts good friend of Drew’s says Peterson is safe but not forth coming of where he is.
His friend being interveiwed will not comment on his opinion of what happen to Stacy.
I wonder what they found to go in this late at night to take camaras in and do a search.

He took off on his motorcycle a couple of days ago to "clear his head." I am confident the police are right there with him (at least I hope).

I bet they have a profiler examining all of the husband's statements for clues, like "Stacy left with her bikini", referring to water, and another statement about her being underground.
I've never seen any info about his first two wives. I assume they are alive and well.

Apparently there is a grand jury being impaneled. Not sure if it is related to 3rd wife’s death.
There have been some questions about how old Stacy was when the much married police Sgt. was having a sexual relationship with her. Here’s a photo of the wedding when she was 19 and pregnant *again* - for she is holding their first child who appears to be about a year old. That means she was unmarried and pregnant with that child when she was 17 years-old.
