Thompson told a packed lunchtime crowd at the Beef O’Brady’s restaurant in Ft. Mill that Romney was trying to buy his way to the nomination. "Governor, you can’t buy South Carolina. You can’t even rent it.”

Poised to belatedly begin his South Carolina campaign, into which he's about to sink millions of campaign dollars, Thompson commits audacious hypocrisy by claiming that Romney is attempting to "buy" South Carolina with his own campaign's millions. Think about it. Thompson is kicking off his multimillion dollar campaign in SC and is condemning Romney for engaging in his own multimillion dollar campaign.

Heh heh...”you can’t even rent it”.

If Fred locks up the South, it’s over.

Fred Thompson, Mitt Romney and McCain have killed their chances in South Carolina. Their comments on the Confederate flag have insured that Mike Huckabee or Ron Paul will get their votes.

Romney, McCain, and Thompson are already getting protests, called "flaggings" in South Carolina, and it has had an effect on their supportors.

Thompson has been described as a "Scalawag", and the Massachusettes yankee (Romney) is a carpetbagger.

Their efforts are dead in SC.
