Too many people in the US are fat, lazy and incapable of doing anything for themselves. Too many others will not hold the fat, lazy and incompetents accountable for their failings and expect us all to dig down deep and pay for them.
Nothing proves this more than Murtha beating Irey in Pennsylvania.

Nothern Virginia is turning solidly Dem. The GOP brand has been discredited in the eyes of the voters for out of control taxing and spending. It would be better to clean out the RINOs.

That’s what I said after BJ was elected the first time. Actually, you were right. We ended up taking the congress and the WH. The problem is, unfortunately, the GOP blew it.

You nailed it! I've lived in Arlington, VA all my life. When I was a kid, it was centrist, but in the past 10-20 years, it has gone more and more left. Conservative natives like me call it the People's Republic of Arlington.
