dodged a bullet...

LOL! You could be right. (But that means we've got to credit Robertson with some kind of devious sense. I'm not prepared to credit him with any kind of sense at all.)

My guess is that he's a tea-leaf reading suck-up.

I am shocked as well. I could understand him saying he would support whichever Republican won the nomination, but gave his endorsement to someone else (ANYONE else!) for the moment. Or heck, even saying he will NOT endorse anyone and simply support the Republican whomever wins the nomination. But THIS is surprising, to say the least.

I am sure he thinks that Rudy is the only one who can stop Hillary, and that this is the lesser of two evils..

Radical liberal Rudy’s brand of loyalty will stab you in the back faster than he stabbed each of his former wives.

You are a stepping stone for him, friend, and that is all.

Don’t kid yourself.

Right, his credibility also flew out the window when he strongly advised us to take out Chavez in Venezuela. A lot of Freepers said he was nuts back then too. Boy did they ever get that one wrong. Now we have Castro jr in South America trying to brong communism to all using petro dollars to do it.

Why are you stunned?

Robertson is an experienced guy, not some schmuck hack who doesn’t understand politics. His endorcement was probably given with the promise of input on Judicial Appointment nominations or something... shrewed and practicle and a win.

The naivety of politics by a sight claiming to be a political activist group is astounding.

Nothing clever from me — I will pray for Robertson, he certainly became befuddled and may lead others astray to Rudy (a likeable RINO) of the utmost order, and a threat to the Republican principles of conservatism and Constitutional preservation, almost across the board.

I am sure he thinks that ...

I don't buy it. You are suggesting that Robertson...thinks... :>)

You’ve GOT to be kidding.

If he wants a winnable candidate who is conservative...he could choose Thompson or even Romney. But Rudy? Odd.

He didn't have enough credibility left to whoosh, imho.

Rudy is not perfect

True. He'd be almost worthless if he weren't so dangerous.

Paradox has it right.

Why endorse the radical liberal, pro-abortionist now? Why not at least wait until this has had a chance to play out a while longer?

As it stands, Robertson is helping push an abortion candidate.

Ralph Reed compromised like this and threw the Moral Majority behind Bob Dole.

Dole took his endorsement, won the convention’s nomination, and promptly kicked the Moral Majority in the teeth. He didn’t even wait for the convention to be over before he declared himself in favor of abortion.

Needless to say, Dole was a dismal candidate, who said all the wrong things and turned off his base. Reed was forced out of his job as a result.

Would I trust Rudy to appoint conservative justices? He wouldn’t know what a strict constructionist was if he tripped over one.

Maybe Rudy helped them out in their search for something that can fend off a Tiberian junker piloted by Suzanne Somers ...

Strict constructionist gets to be a slipperier and slipperier expression. Everyone’s using the expression...democrats and republicans alike.

Isn’t Scalia the one who calls himself an “originalist?” Or is that “Thompson?”

I think I’ll end up liking the Constitutional Literalists.

That whooshing sound you hear is the last shred of Pat Robertson’s credibility flying out the window.

So Rev Pat Robertson supports a cross Dressing, pro sodomy, anti-Second Amendment, Pro Abortionist?

That is unbelievable...

A sad day indeed.

But he understands this fact better than any of the other candidates from a personal perspective.

What a load of sh*t that is!

Rudy is just a weak punk ass pervert. He can't even hold a family together and you want to turn over a nation to him?

While I whole heartedly agree with your analysis, get ready to duck some emotional slings and arrows. You will be bombarded with a lot of illogical/non-factual impassioned arguments against you. You will not see many practical analyses such as yours for other candidates. They will argue for their candidate on philosophical grounds, not on who stands the best chance of leading a nation at war.

If we lose the war, everything else is moot.

Agreed, this is stunning. I do believe that senility may be playing a role in this (if not outright spiritual deception). Giuliani is the antithesis of a biblical view of morality.

I've always thought that Pat is a snake-oil salesman, more interested in power and money than anything else.

If the report is true, this would confirm it.

Do you have this post saved somewhere on your computer so you can post it over and over again? Sheesh.

Your Rudy campaigning will not work here, Mr. Hannity.
