....Global Warming is a non-event, a manufactured crisis and a total scam.

John Coleman, founder of The Weather Channel, gets it.

Coleman was in the Chicago market for many years - a funny guy, a good weatherman, and a good entertainer. He is right-on with this commentary. 2007 will mark the beginning of the end of the Global Warming Myth. Gore be damned!

Don’t count on this myth to go away without a tremendous fight. All the power of the Leftmedia will be used to keep it alive, and by then the policies based on it will be entrenched. Consider that by the 1970’s, if not earlier, the leadership class of the Soviet Union recognized that Communism was junk, but they had to perpetuate it in order to cling to power.

I would like to hear Gorilla Mouth Gore be asked this question:

Is your message or the message Jesus brought more critical to the family of man?

Then I would like the follow up question to be:

Yes, Gorilla Mouth, I understand your assertion that the messages are in harmony but I am asking which is more critical to the family of man?

(I'm not Christian)

Maybe, if we have a battle royale now about it we can prevent a lot of this crap from becoming entrenched. That's my hope.

The hertic Coleman and I brushed by each other at the Convention of the American Meteorological Society in 1982 in Boston (where I think it was held that year). He was receiving an AMS award for his founding of the new cable channel. And, many of the egomaniacs of the broadcast channels back then were seething with jealousy over John’s accomplishment. It’s too bad that the Weather Channel has foundered on the shoals of political correctness since he gave up the reins early on in the channels’ growth. It used to be the first place I’d visit in the a.m. to check on the veracity of my own forecast issued the night before. Those were the days, when, graphics consisted of throwing magnetic numbers on a board and videotape of satellite pix and the like were all we had to use to portray a weathercast. What a puff job that was.

Notice how Gore just casually dismisses anyone or anything that contradicts his “facts” about globull warming?
Oh, he’s just and outlier, or they are just this or that? He never responds to the data presented. He never concedes that he might have some things wrong. He ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT debate ANYONE on the subject. Just that smirk of condescension and arrogance and a wave of the hand like everybody else is a moron except him.

These scientists are people that have half the alphabet after their names and have studied and actually worked in the fields of which the speak.

All Gore has after his name is former senator, VP, sore loser Prez candidate, Academy Award and a Nobel Prize, none of which has anything to do with science or even institutes of higher learning.

How the whole world can fall for this guy’s scam is beyond me. Everywhere he goes, people just fawn all over him like he’s some messianic deliverer from the great beyond. He’s a buffoon and a con man. P.T. Barnum would be so proud..............

It is the greatest scam in history.

Indeed, it is, surpassing the 'acid rain' scam of a few years ago, and the 'coming ice age' scam before that. The entire goal of the global warming scam is that the liberals can find a new way to extract more money from the wallets of those that earn it and divvy it up amongs themselves.

Nonsense. Today is 5 degrees warmer than yesterday here in Palm Springs. Do the math. This trend, if man allows it to continue, will mean a 35 degree increase in a week, a 140 degree increase in a month and 1,680 degree increase in a year year. Tell me we’re not all gonna die. Good grief people, wake up.

It is the greatest scam in history.

I'm sorry, but there's a lot of competition for that distinction. How about communism, and some of its lesser cousins, government schools, government health care, Social Security, etc.?

One of the great facts found at "Icecap" was this nugget:

"Sea level has been rising at a rate of 1.8 mm per year for the past 8,000 years. The IPCC notes that “No significant acceleration in the rate of sea level rise during the 20th century has been detected.” [In spite of "man-made" CO2 - my comment] Unless there is another Little Ice Age, they will continue rising at roughly this rate for centuries to come."

Which means the "rise in sea levels" would continue as follows: 1ft in 200 yrs, 2ft in 400 years, 2.7ft in 500 years, 5.4ft in 1,000 yrs, 11ft in 2,000 yrs, 16ft in 3,000 yrs, 21.5ft in 4,000 yrs, 27ft in 5,000 yrs and 54ft in 10,000 yrs.

If humans are not smart enough to make the adjustments to simply where they live (either protect it or move), required by those rates of sea level changes, then they won't deserve to still be here.

Actually, it is far more complex than that. One of the things that occurred was orchestrated propaganda - remarkably similar to global warming intensity.

Thanks. This is from his impressive bio on the WWJ site:

Sonny’s been making Detroiters smile about the weather for years. Unlike any other in the country, Eliot’s weathercasts are a mixture of fast-paced humor, bits of far-out philosophy, one liners, improbable analogies and similes, and, not to be overlooked, easy-to-understand weather forecasts. The National Association of TV Program Executives (NATPE) has named his witty reports the nation’s best.

I assumed he had gone to the great beyond, nice surprise to see that he hasn’t.

This ain't too shabby, either.

During World War II, Eliot was a B-24 bomber pilot when he was shot down over Germany and spent the next 18 months as a prisoner of war in Stalagluft I. While in captivity he lifted the morale of the other prisoners by staging original skits and revues. He holds the rank of Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve and was named Air Force Liaison Officer for the 1st Congressional District.
