it all depends on what the definition of again is, again and where she placed the comma in that sentence.

LOL Prolly not a slip. She’s been campaigning about her experience, but then also had said that the health care project was Bill’s plan. So then the other candidates said, well she has no real experience.

This is her effort to change the perception, assuming that if she repeats it, we believe it, rwa265. LOL

Without more context, it's hard for me to fault this.

She might have said this same thing earlier in the program, and was just using "again" meaning "I said this before."

Well, if she was president before then she’s already served 2 terms and can’t run again.

The real slip is that she is revealing her notes to herself — “got to keep trying to fix that immigration gaffe.” Again, again, again...

She is a crafty person, however...

I Listened to the video/audio and read the transcript below. I read it some what like you do. She mentions that it was a federal issue, became a state issue and will be a federal issue again when she is president.

She is a crafty person, however, I agree

Sorry - won't wash.

This wasn't taken out of context - we can hear for ourselves the conversation leading up to her slip of the mind...

I'm bothered by the fact that she said, "when I am President," instead of "if I am elected President."

I realize she is not the only presidential candidate who says "when I am President," but the words sound especially presumptive when they come out of her mouth.

Not a slip of the tongue. Even the mainstream media have commented that Hillary and her people assume she will be president if their use of tense is any indicator. I believe it was on 60 Minutes that her Latina chief of staff said she will take a year off after Hillary’s inauguration. And Hillary has said she does not now what she will encounter in foreign policy matters so she can’t say what she intends to do about Iran. In a side note, my daughter attended a Wellesley College visit at her high school, where the young representative said she will take a leave of absence during Hillary’s first year in the White House. Here’s hoping the American people correct their thinking.

If the bwitch accomplishes the improbable and wins the Presidency expect Bill to have plenty of “we’re the President” moments. ...although he very well could use “I” instead of “we.”

I'm not suggesting that it WAS.

I'm suggesting that there's not enough context to prove that she was referring to "President again", rather than "I said this before".

Well, the Clintons have found a way to get around the 2 term rule, shocking!

Not!

The Clinton’s get away with everything, while Republicans are busy cremating their own into dust to throw in Hillary’s eyes, and when she recovers after a bit, she will simply sweep the rest away.

“Issuing drivers licenses is a state issue not a federal issue.”

With Hillary everything is a federal issue. Here is her exact quote:

“I think the fact that governors are being forced into this position is really unfortunate. They should not be making immigration policy. The federal government should be making immigration policy and that’s what I’m going to try to do as president again and I do not believe that in the context of federal immigration reform that that would be an issue that governors would have to contend with.”

I did miss it, so thanks for the ping. Definitely a Freudian slip. Plus giving the same evasive answer again is not helpful to Her Royal Thighness' cause.

Contrary to HRC, governors don't have to contend with the issue, certainly not the way Spitzer has, which is as a ploy to get illegal immigrants registered to vote via the disastrous Motor Voter law!

The federal government should act, and one initiative would be to repeal Motor Voter now! Of course, if you expected HRC and Spitzer to endorse that, I've got a bridge to sell you.

My take: Her overriding philosophy is to consolidate power towards the goal of change (change to her liking will do just fine). Power held by the states is a real nuisance to her, so with her hands back again on the reins of federal power (but not on Bill’s baton this time), she will valiantly spare the states the pesky problem of determining who may or may not pass through the borders. In fact, she’ll dictate that the states may not interfere with her directives. And we can be sure she will issue thousands of extralegal directives that torture common sense but can’t be easily challenged in court.

Hillary:(unequivical) ". . .that's what I am going to do when I am President again. . ."

'that' what she is going to do is her claim that that this is a Federal issue; not 'State' and she is going to make it one.

There is small irony is here as well, that as a Senator she cannot make the call or even weigh in with opinion; but as President; she will make the decision for all States.

Hillary's threat is less ironic. . .Federal Power and her desire to usurp States Rights. Hillary will settle for nothing less, than the whole meal deal.
