Armand Hammer: Traitor
The Soviet archives have been a real source of amusement since they have been opened. Armand Hamner, the wealthy, pro-Communist businessnan who earned a fortune off the Soviet government, was one of the few Americans permitted to do business with the Soviet Union at the height of its Leninist and Stalinist terror. He was even permitted to own an apartment in Moscow and a Russian art collection. Now the archives show he personally transported funds from the Soviet Union to fund the new U.S. Communist Party in the 1920s. A highly placed staffer in the Reagan White House once told me that Hammer was one of the handful of people able to call the President directly without any screening!

Hammer also owned TN Sen. Albert Gore, Sr. lock, stock, and barrel. Who do you think paid for Junior’s education ?

Armand Hammer also handled the supplemental retirement investment program for the KGB (and I presume other high Soviet officials).
The Algore's father ended up working for this guy.

Hammer “gifted” the Gores $850,000 in Occidental Petroleum Stock. That’s one Hell of a Carbon Footprint. How do you offset that one? That stock also rose when the Clinton Administration put Elk Head Reserves under their control.

Hammer was sometimes used by several presidents to carry backchannel messages, but obviously he didn’t alter the Gipper’s opinion of the Soviet Union or communism.

What has not been mentioned so far is that Hammer enjoyed good press as he flitted back and forth between the Worker’s Paradise and his homebase here in the land of evil capitalism.
To: mnehrling
So it looks like Paul has always been a “truther”.

Do you think President Reagan took the call, told him that he was going to outlaw russia forever, bombing begins in 5 minutes?

That is old story. Al Gore is part of it.

Ron Paul and his supporters are Liberals.
Judging by some of the loud obnoxious characters I see on a daily basis (college students in their rebellious stage) they are liberal but much more to the LEFT...in that bizarre world where left meets right.

and that’s opposed to Hammer’s close relationship with Al Gore Sr.
To: colorado tanker
Reagan DIDN’T know Deavers was on Hammer’s payroll...if he’d known no matter what Nancy said...he’d been OUT of the WH. You can bet Deavers gave Hammer info NOT authorized by Reagan...Deavers was a spy for Hammer [which ultimately for the old Soviet Union] in the Reagan WH.

There is no working link to this material anywhere on the internet.
I assume this is more manufactured nonsense and that you chose to "excerpt" it, refusing to post a link or any proof whatsoever that Ron Paul wrote this.
These sad Paul-hater threads just get more and more desperate.

Well, Armand was sure able to help the Soviets a lot. Maybe if he hadn’t had the President’s ear, the Soviet Union would have fallen shortly after Reagan left office. Maybe Reagan used Hammer.

I got a question for you, did you pay for the back issues of this newsletter? Or alternatively, how did you acquire back issues of such a small run zine from the early 90s?
Also, Hammer had more than just US politicians and elites on his payroll. Foreign governments accommodated to his will and fat wallet regularly.
To: George W. Bush
Sorry. But they are very real. I have the newsletters. They are not on the internet. Maybe this is why Ron Paul refuses to release his archives. These letters came from the Library of Congress...

By the way, Paul has been asked about the newsletter and he has refused to release his archives of them. Now we know why.

I'm still not sure what you think you found here that was so surprising.
site:freerepublic.com "Armand Hammer" Reagan - Google Search
We knew all about Carter and Armand Hammer and Reagan and Gore Senior years ago. We had endless threads as you could see above if you'd bothered to do even the most basic search. It was discussed widely at FreeRepublic.
So exactly what in the few paragraphs that you are deliberately lifting out of context do you challenge factually?
Well, that would be none. Because everyone knows about it already. You have merely chosen to do the most damaging isolated paragraphs you can locate.

But I'd take them over Nanny-State Big-Government Party Apparatus any day of the week.
