Ron Paul Political Report
Volume I Number 1
Page 3
In Congress today, unquestlonlng support for Israel is true bipartisan foreign policy. Conservative Senator Jesse Helms (R-Nc) was once a critic of aid to Israel. In 1983, the Israell lobby set out to forge an alliance between the evangelical right and Jews and knew Helms would be the best place to start. As a result, in 1984 Israeli PACs and associated wealthy buslnessmen helped bankroll Helms' reelection. campaign. Once Helms was back in office, he was flown to Israel. At the Wailing wall, Helms described the revelatlon that God wanted foreign aid to Israel. This also, not coincidentally, made him acceptable as minority leader of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
“”At the Wailing wall, Helms described the revelatlon that God wanted foreign aid to Israel.””
More likely the fruitful visits from the Lockheed lobbyists.
bump
You might be more effective if you spread these out.
Six threads in an hour, and another fake link.
Jesse Helms is so...I don’t know...Madeleine Allbright relevant.
*looks for Scrappleface link*

I would need to see documentation that the Israel Lobby bankrolled Helms’ campaign in 1984. My recollection is just the opposite. They supported his opponent.
You have me all wrong, friend.
The Jew haters must love him. A very scary man, Ron Paul!
Not a fake link. These letters are not on the internet is all. I just put freerepublic.com in the link space.
Jesse Helms had the best voting record and the most maverick record of any senator of the last 30 years. He was “Senator No” and the most criticized (by the liberal press) anti-spending senator on the Hill. There have been some great ones in the House and Senate: Phil Crane, Steve Symms, Larry McDonald, but Helms was second to no one.
The fact that Ron Paul would say anything negative about Helms at this point shows us something about the little congressman.
With Pat Bucannan on the ticket, you’d have the 2008 dream team.
We have no problem with these posts, but to prevent confusion and complaints, please leave the link space blank.
Ron Paul is a crank candidate.
It’s curious that Ron Paul (and most other libertarians) constantly criticize U.S. aid to Israel but rarely if ever make a peep about the billions of aid we give to Egypt, Pakistan, the Palestinians, etc.
Ron Paul is not fit to lick Jesse’s boots.
I suppose the Tibetans paid off Jesse too?
God bless one of the best conservatives to ever serve in the US Senate.
“...God bless one of the best conservatives to ever serve in the US Senate.”
Worth repeating !!! Helms was one of the best if not the best.
Aye aye sir. Will do and thanks.
It’s time for Paul to go. I realize there are good conservatives on FR that support him, but for the most part, that isn’t the case. The man is a moron of the first water and despite what he and others might think; He doesn’t have a lock on the constitution.
Ron Paul, it is true, can’t dictate who supports him and who doesn’t, yet, those a man inspires, says much about the man. There is a donation link for Ron Paul on nearly every page at Stormfront. He can’t stop those people from supporting him but he can damn sure ask them to take it down and let them know he doesn’t want their support.
The same goes for the 9-11 conspiracists and anti-war nuts. When backed into a corner he will pay a little lip service but in the next week he will appear on Alex Jones. There is a definitive tone of antisemitism emanating from the Paul campaign and I would very much like to hear him address that. I can’t discern a difference in propaganda effusing from “The Paul Cabal of Useful Idiots (tm)” and Code Pink. I bet the douche-nozzles at Stormfront support Paul because of his “message of peace”.
Ward Churchill- Chickens coming home to roost Ron Paul- It’s blowback or whatever moronic diction he uses. So, What’s the difference?
What-do-you-get-when-you-cross-Cynthia-McKinney-and-Mel-Gibson’s-dad PING. ;)
Pat Paulsen without a sense of humor..
I thought Ron Paul might make a good candidate until I finally heard him speak a few months ago. Sorry, I think he's an idiot (and only marginally better than Hillary or Obama). He doesn't have any real chance with an actual conservative who has heard him talk for more than a 30-second soundbite...
The War on Terrorism (and Global Islamic Jihad) is real and is not going to go away short of defeat at the hands of the American Military. We might have chosen a better battle site than Iraq but the choice has been made and ignoring the problem is not going to make it go away. If we 'stick our heads in the sand' like Ostriches, it won't help!!!
Hey sheik: Haven’t heard from you in ages!
does free republic allow morons from the Kos to post here?
Another Paul thread.
I am glad you damn neo cons did not spend all the $943,443,251,198,226.91 on the Wilsonian unconstitutional farce you call a war so I can get me one of these to fly from thread to thread in...
Well I knew we would agree on something...
LSU is one of us...
Because RP is an anti-semite.
I got a question for you, did you pay for the back issues of this newsletter? Or alternatively, how did you acquire back issues of such a small run ‘zine from the early 90’s?
He misunderstood me, then. I was addressing Congressman Paul and mis merry minions, not LSU.
Oh, well it wasn’t clear to me either, no harm no foul.
Ron Paul does make for some “fun” though...
Old Ron is starting sound like another person who ran for President a while back. The more he talked, the more you could see the screws come loose.
What was his name...
Oh yea, Perot.
We sure could use a few more Jesse Helms these days.
Library of Congress
PEEEEEP!!!
(I'm not a Libertarian, but I would support a blanket peep)
That’s a bit depressing way to spend your time?
You know the Library of Congress has a really good book section?
Thanks for the gumshoe sleuthing.
I had someone else do the grunt work. I can’t take credit for finding the newsletters. Paul is absolutely OBSESSED with Jews and Israel. He devotes large portions of most issues to the Israel lobby...
Thanks 2ndDivisionVet
Yes, post the entire article.
Here’s a towel. Wipe the foam from your mouth.
No, he is not. That is absurd.
It’s the entire article. Maybe you should ask your hero why he refused to release his own archives of these newsletters when asked to do so by reporters. Unlike you, I have read these letters and I KNOW why he has refused to release them...
>>The Jew haters must love him. A very scary man, Ron Paul!<<
They do. He is.
that, by itself, doesn’t make him an anti-semite.
Congrats...
Supporting Israel has been a part of many conservatives general philosophy.
Now if by conservative in your case you mean libertarian or extreme right, isolationist or whatever, well that would then be accurate...
Does that mean that I have been “bought?”
Oh, really, then POST THEM ALL.
Conservative to me means no foreign aid. None. At all.
Well good luck with that...
