Jakes is not a Trinitarian, which causes him great difficulty in being accepted by most Christians. His background teaching was Jesus is not only the Son, but also the Father and the Holy Spirit.

TD Jakes is a coward who runs away from preaching against the most celebrated and promoted sins of the day. He is afraid of losing popularity and income, so he does not have the courage to put a finger in the face of the American immorality movement and say "Repent of your sin."
It is easy to preach positive messages about prosperity, just as it is cowardly to avoid offending the immoral Christian liberal who thinks the only sin that exists is that of judging sin to be sinful and condemning that sin.

He is a liberal. I don't know why TBN has him on their network, their black preacher offerings seem to be liberal whereas their white counterpart offerings lean conservative.
I used to like T.D. Jakes, always wondered where his political sentiments stood, hard to tell from his sermons, but with his public condemnation of the Jena 6 debacle and now his position on this latest Bounty Hunter debacle, I see now that he apparently has a racist streak just like his other pastor friend the Rev. Al Sharpton. I will no longer watch him, he's a fraud and cannot help but only hurt black people stay stuck in harboring continued resentments against whites.
I also think less now of Dr. Phil for having Al Sharpton, the liar, as a legitimate guest and voice on his one sided program today.
