57. Have you, your spouse, any members of your family, or any members of your spouses family ever been associated with gangs or subversive groups (Minutemen, Aryan Brotherhood, etc.) YES NO IF YES, EXPLAIN IN SEPARATE STATEMENT.
Look at question 57 on the application
Scan the application and post it.
Never mind. Just saw the link.
Maybe they were talking about the dudes from the 60’s?
Vey scary stuff.
No, that’s those guys were the Weathermen.
PING
I guess that’s why the smart guys don’t make up names, have public meetings, try to recruit outsiders, give interviews...Stuff like that. Don’t seem like a smart thing to do.
ON THE INTERNET:

http://www.minutemanhq.com/hq/
This is nothing less than the government setting itself against the people. I wonder if they really know what they’re asking for here? (Maybe they should consult with Abe Lincoln.)
*shrug*
I read that the feds went after the “other” Minutemen in the 60s.
I was wondering if this was a holdover from that era.
I wonder how long the Federal and local governments have been seeking background information on contributors of groups like the MM?
I would guess it would be advisable not to leave a paper trail when seeking to support any given group in today’s America.

Well, if it’s a really old application, but don’t you think it would be updated by now?
I have no idea. Just trying to figure it out. Maybe someone should call that department and ask them about it. Probably get a runaround though.
Feel free to use your telephone to make the call.
Is the Las Vegas police department subversive?
;)

My apologies.
You’re right and I’m wrong.
I’ve never heard of them before until you mentioned the group.
I found info on the leftist-type sites.
Let me guess, are we now suppose to believe they are referring to a group from about 40 years ago, they few ever heard of?
lol
I could just seem them asking some 21 year old recruit that question, and trying to convince everyone they are referring to some obscure group from 40 years ago.
Too funny.
Rolling my eyes back at you...
You should have seen what web sites I had to visit to get the so-called info.
My son came *this* close to joining the LAPD. He has many friends there. (His wife was relieved when he didn’t).
I guess the Minutemen are a subversive group for
being patriots.
Ha! They said communism is dead.
Does this list cover “La Razza”?
Las Vegas casino owners and condo/home builders don’t want anyone interfering with their illegal labor that cleans the hotels or building their McMansions at slave labor salaries.
Shrug. What does this mean?
Please tell me you are being sarcastic.
No. Since it said gangs or subversive groups
I could not reconcile that line of thinking with the current group. I know that the older group had been targeted by the feds as being subversive.
I am actually surprised that nobody here has heard of them.
They are exactly like the Waikiki cops. They are there to make sure the money (tax revenue) keeps flowing from the vistitors to the businesses and local government.
After all, they were mentioned in a well known Beatles song Revolution.
They know.
My judgement would be...the Vegas department...must be subversive...in some radical fashion. Taking into consideration how many new patrol men they’ve added in the past ten years...mostly from outside of the city...I think there is a issue here. If I were a Vegas resident...I’d be asking the chief of police what kind of men they are recruiting, and if they are capable of doing their actual job. I would have doubts. And if I have doubts...that means you need “private police” to watch your business or home in Vegas...just add that onto your cost of living and doing business in the town.
It apears the application/form was revised 07/01/2003. It’s possible that the group mentioned is a different version of the modern day Minutemen.
Bingo! Remember, we’re dealing with government, worse we’re dealing with a government form. That means it’s going to be ancient. I’ll be willing to bet, they’re refering to the dudes from the 60’s.
Notice the question does not pick the Black Panthers or any minority gang for their examples.
EXPLANATION: Some Administrator, with an agenda, put this on the application.
After all, doesn’t La Raza list MINUTEMEN as a Hate Group?
Bush called them “Vigilantes”.
They were WEATHERMEN
The British Feds went after the Minutemen in the 1770’s
This all ties in with what I fully expect to become an all-out war against the 2nd Amendment - likely within the next POTUS administration. Politicians don’t want us to have guns and FULLY understand the intent of our founding fathers when they included the 2nd Amendment. The purpose was not to protect hunting, but to protect the population from oppressive government.
By labeling the Minutemen - a law-abiding group looking out for the well-being of the US - as a criminal gang, they are setting the stage in a subtle way for attacking any patriotic organization or individual. This WILL play into the coming US dictatorship. Marginalize, then criminalize those who want the Constitution and rule of law to prevail.
“After all, they were mentioned in a well known Beatles song Revolution.”
Are there people who actually decipher all the words in pop music songs? All I ever pay attention to are the hooks, tempo rhythm and beat.
“I read that the feds went after the other Minutemen in the 60s.
I was wondering if this was a holdover from that era”
???? THAT WOULD BE MY TAKE TOO.
That would be Robert DePugh's Minutemen, who were something like the military wing of the John Birch Society in the 1960s.
You know what’ subversive is the multitude of filthy illegals standing on the sidewalk of the Las Vegas strip sticking porno advertisment cards in everyone’s face. I spit on a couple of them the one and only time I was in Vegas. What a vile place.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the original form was refering to the subversives of the sixties. When the form came up for revision, the geniuses doing the revision thought they meant the current Minute Men, and left it in. Most govt HRD types are liberals.
